In fairness, DC did a lot of those characters first. . .Marvel just did it better.

Wait wait wait, so this is a thing in the movie?
Sups looks weird. So does the man playing WW.
I read somewhere that she was trying to integrate that film, Indiana Jones, and Casablanca.According to one reviewer the director really like the old Chris Reeve Superman movie. She drew some inspiration from that film. The alley fight and the revolving door scene in particular.
Nowadays, these companies are essentially interchangeable. There is a standard way that comics are written, and that crossovers are handled, and how they are rebooted, etc. Writers go from one company to the other like it's no big deal. But pre-Marvel, DC was not very good. They could be fun, but disposable entertainment. There was no characterization to speak of, which reflects the fact that they were writing comics for very young boys. Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, and Steve Ditko then came along, and changed the game fundamentally. DC eventually had to respond, but it took a good, long while (really the late '60s) before they could even hope to compete with what Marvel was doing on a quality writing level. So yes, DC developed the Atom, and Green Arrow, and the Flash first. But Ant-Man, Hawkeye, and Quicksilver were much more interesting for a long while.
That's a pretty subjective matter. It depends on the character for me. Where I give edges though, is that DC has a vastly superior Supernatural-Verse, whereas Marvel has a better Tec/Science/Cosmic-Verse. DC has a much better Espionage-Verse, but Marvel has a better Street-Verse. The Bat-Verse is better than the Spider-Verse in that it's more "tight", but Spider-Man has a bit more varried villains.
If you break it down to character vs character, you won't really reach a consensus. It's entirely up to you.
So...
Diana tells Steve:
"I have no father, I was brought to life by Zues." Clay blah blah blah.
Then shegets all shocked when Ares tells her that Zues is her father. Seriously what the hell is the difference between the two?!
This whole homage to STM is being way overblown.
I saw bits of Superman in this, but nothing that gave me the same feeling as watching Chris Reeve for the first time.
