Was the 90's really that bad?

True Lies
Heat
Sixth Sense
Good Wil Hunting
Starship Troopers
Lion King
Shindlers List
Toy Story
Blairwitch
JFK
Braveheart
Reservoir Dogs
Pulp Fiction
Seven
Fight Club
Independence Day
Saving Private Ryan
Home Alone
Clerks
Goodfellas
Slence of the Lambs
Scream
T2
Matrix
Blade 1
Shawshank Redemption
Jurassic Park

Out of an entire decade that's all you could pull?

Many of those are not 'classics' -- Clerks, ID4, Blair Witch, JFK, Starship Troopers?????

where's my laughing Balok when I need him?

But a couple scenes don't make it an action movie. Dr. Strangelove has action scenes. As does Raising Arizona. It's a heist film and procedural drama.

I haven't seen the movie, but Ares doesn't always cause conflict, most of the time he just feeds off of it. He in fact likes us because we're naturally belligerent.

I don't know if the movie puts all the blame on Ares for WWI or it if just shows him taking advantage of it.

At least in the animation, he raise demons hoard against humanity and then feed on the conflict. So, yes, relatively.

He certainly did influence the conflict and once he die, viewer see these soldier awaken.

I have to agree. A climactic shoot-out -- like most westerns had -- doesn't make it an action movie.

Its only an action movie if you only watch the last 45 minutes -- which most of you here probably do.

Wait wait wait, so this is a thing in the movie?

DC's new opening title card.
Oh, then... It sucks :lol

MCU is still cooler.
I do like it and its original fanfare.

Did you think that was the after credits scene lol
I thought it'd be some quick tidbit between the DC logo and the intro of the movie, didn't expect it to be the actual intro card.

Does it look better on-screen or does it still look like concept art?

Well whatever you want to call it but it plays in the same spot the Marvel logo would play, maybe i'm labeling it wrong i'm good at screwing up.

Yeah it looked better in motion.

Play it for Wor-Gar would you lol.

I could put it without spoilers Wor, but maybe some people would like the surprise, idk...

Cap Marvel has a long cape, no collar and it's a modern design :gah:

I just watched it on youtube. I like it, looks fine.

It bugs me the every character in the DCU has a complimentary character in the MCU. It's just... weird.

Be like if along with Star Wars, there was also another space fantasy universe called War Star, created by Lew Jorcas.

When I saw that I thought "Like all of those characters will really make it into a movie? They don't even have a new Green Lantern yet."

Reminds me of the old marvel opening. It would have been cool if the logo went from Chris Reeve to Cavill and fromKeaton to Affleck. You know show the history of DC in film.

Just got back from seeing it.
Great movie!

Gadot absolutely nails it: the woman was born to play this role. She just does it effortlessly. Of course there are some weak moments in her delivery, but her charisma carries her through those few moments.
Pine is wonderful, lots of heart in his portrayal and both work great opposite each other.
The scene when she's shell-shocked and can't hear what he's saying is just brilliant, as is her reaction when Pine's plan unfolds in front of her eyes, I thought both of them acted wonderfully.
The slo-mo was a bit overdone in certain places, but mostly it was used to truly epic effect. The moment WW walks out of the trenches and all hell breaks loose is one of the best action scenes I can remember, just beautifully put together.
There are some pacing issues, and a few moments when the movie slows down a bit much, but overall it's a great experience.

All in all, it deserves the praise it's getting.

Yeah, that new opener deal didn't do much for me. I initially thought it was a trailer for another crappy video game. CG wasn't much better than the lame Justice League opening from 15 years ago.

In fairness, DC did a lot of those characters first. . .Marvel just did it better.

That's my problem with DC. They are owned by WB a movie company yet they could never get a movie out about anyone other that Superman and Batman. The Atom was created first yet Marvel made an Ant-man film before them.
