I know it's being hailed as the biggest opening for a female directed movie.

But something tells me that Wall Street investment bankers don't give a flying **** about that.

Something tells me that those investment bankers are not happy that WW has the lowest opening of the whopping 4 DCEU movies.

Well in four days it has basically tripled the entire domestic earnings of Ghost in the Shell so at least there's that. :D

That's because Gadot is far superior and more liked than Scarlett!!! :slap

The media makes this movie like its the second coming of comic book cinema.... It's overblown and getting out of hand.. Headlines say it's one of the top opening weekends for a comic book movie of all time... Its 14th!. If you want to hail something as a top opening, it should at least crack the top 10, not the top 14. And yes as stated above, all the other 3 critically bashed and majority hated DCEU movies far surpassed this one's opening weekend.

Very confusing for people who aren't blinded by Wonder Woman's light.... I'm happy it's a great movie, as I'll be seeing it finally tomorrow night, but be damned if the media isn't making this out to be so much more than it actually is. Just a good movie.

Where? All I see anywhere is that it's listed as the highest opening weekend by a female director, which is 100% correct. Otherwise everyone seems to be calling out that it's tracking comparably or better than other origin movies like IM1, Cap:TFA, Thor, etc. I haven't seen anything comparing it's success to The Avengers, TDK, IM3, etc.

The fact that it's so story driven will probably end up hurting its global earnings but I consider that a credit to everyone involved.

I believe it was Business Insider.. I use the flipboard app on my android which gives headlines and links to hundreds of articles based on subject.. They even had a chart putting it at 13th, which was wrong since the chart incorrectly had had no showing for Suicide Squad. It was late last night as I couldn't sleep, maybe I missed the female part but pretty sure that was the headline.

And when
her sword shattered in his hand my daughter literally threw her hands up in the air and said "WHAT?!?"

:lol
I also thought it was extremely cool that
Ares used his fingers to literally rip vertical visor openings in his makeshift metal mask.
:yess: :hi5:

Bor Gullet will know the truth.

Many people f the movies out right now are lackluster and Hollywood really needs a hit. For some people if they hear a movie is the BEST THING EVAH!!!!!! They're likely to see it just to see what all the talkie about. I'm not saying WW is not a good movie just that the media tends to hype stuff.

Regarding the war aspects of WW.

I didn't see anything more graphic than TFA, if anything TFA had soldiers being disintegrated by lasers and a soldier fall thru a spinning blade leaving a huge blood spray behind.

WW had a few soldiers get hit with arrows from the amazonian battle but that was about it, there wasn't any blood though.

Regarding the war "feeling" my favorite still remains the Star Spangled Man musical scene from TFA,

I did like Trevors commandos slightly better than the Howling commandos from TFA though so there's that lol.

Trevor's commandos had more personality, but both wars were handled in a the same manner. High in action low in blood and gore.

Saw WW over the weekend and was disappointed. Opening came off as a fan-made YouTube film of Diana as a young child, and the rest was crude and cheesy. I understand that women would love to cherish this moment but if I were a staunch feminist, I'd be upset that WW came across as juvenile, naive and dimwitted. The nail in the coffin was when
she displayed little emotion over her aunt's death yet went super saiyan over Chris Pine's death - a person she knew for a few days?

Yup I said the same thing in my review.

Made no sense.
