Makes sense this would happen... women this generation have larger love-bumps than their semi-male counterparts weened on Dancing with the Stars and Kardashian tramp-humor.

Look what they're marketing to:

From now on it's female-lead driven movies only for Hollywood. Women have finally spoken with their wallets and their made up tweets about their children having a hero to look up to--and that hero is Wonder Woman.

Now that I think about it, Hollywood may only release films that star Wonder Woman as the main character from now on.

This is still a big win win for me :lol.
They get to hire more women and feel progressive and i.get to see more sexy women on screen :lol :lol

Yeah, you better be scared boy... theres a revolution coming

Omg that's so cheesy. This person never watched like any other female led movie before? Underworld? Charlie's angels? Kim possible? Alien?

I think it's great that there is finally a live-action Wonder Woman film made in my lifetime, but a lot of reactions to it are so overboard that it's difficult (if not impossible) to take them seriously.

Not necessarily.

We didnt have social justice warriors back then though. Not like now.

The same people trashing ghost in the shell today for white washing would be the same people praising and crying over a black widow for girl power ironically enough

Hmm, true enough.

It's always been a "hit and miss" endeavor though.

Americanized Ringu: Great

Americanized Ju-On: Awful

1998 American Godzilla: Awful

2014 American Godzilla: Decent enough

Does Fistful of Dollars count as white-washing? If so there's another great one.

Haven't seen the original Oldboy but I thought Spike Lee's version was pretty good. Made me want to vomit though.

I don't care whether the hero, or protagonist, is a male or female or of another race other than my own. I don't see why it seems to bother so many people. Oh well; to each their own.

It doesn't bother me that the lead is a female, and to be honest I don't even believe men and women are equals, so most of you will probably disagree with me there but when it comes to fantasy land I can excuse a lot under proper context and as long as it's judged fairly I have no problem with it.

To me, Mad Max Fury Road obviously had a ton of feminist undertones and such, but st least it did its best in showing real equality. Older women were kicking ass, and getting their ***** kicked. Was it realistic? Not at at all, but at least they didn't make the women in that movie invincible just because "men should never lay their hands on women".

Well, the reshoots are heavily WW-focused, supposedly.

Women ruin everything... I mean, girl power!

And handled by Joss Whedon. That movie is going to be absolutely horrible. I'm no fan of any movie not he DCEU, but I have told you I at least respected what they were trying to do, until Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman that is. Now they're just copying Marvel's formula.

Dturtle?

pFabio?

So with pturtle's grand return comes validation of my negative WW review.

Time for me to dust off my little turtle meme in celebration.

:lol :lol :lol

You weren't a fan of Wonder Woman?

Even with the news of Elfman I still have some hope for JL, I'm hoping that Whedon limits himself to oversee the editing, hopefully blend his directing parts with the rest of what Snyder did, so that the completely different styles, or more specifically, Whedon's lack of style, aren't jarring, I doubt the photography will be affected a lot, but the camerawork may, with the reshoots.

And ffs I hope he limits his one-liner writing spasms.
