I don't find her attractive either, but this statue is as badass as it can get! :rock
I don't really care about finding a statue hot. :lol

Agree, other then the face, the statue is awesome in just about every way.

Totally entitled to your own opinion m8, so do you think you will be getting this statue???

Definitely getting this statue, it is the best Wonder Woman statue released to date. While I wish the head was different, the rest of it is amazing. And maybe they will tweak it a bit before it is released like they did with Psylocke.

The pose with the leg I think works great here. She looks badass! I think my most realistic best sculpt so far is the blood queen by Mark Newman. That guy is one of the best if not already my favorite. But I don't collect that line. So this WW is now just as good of a sculpt. I'm super excited! This WW scupter will be one to watch for sure.

Don't apologize to him. She does look a little uh...less feminine than the classic Wonder Woman that most people are familiar with. Your cousin said exactly what a lot of people outside this site would say. They'd also say what's the point of the spear and shield and why isn't she posed using her lasso? And where are all the stars on her bottom? And why does she look so hard?

And those are all great points. Where as the Batman (despite his tiny head ) and Superman PFs closely capture each character's true, classic, iconic look, this WW piece misses a bit with the "warrior princess" look. What is the one thing people associate WW with? Her lasso!! Why in heck isn't she using it? A spear and shield? C'mon. This piece would be a great "Wonder Woman Warrior PF" down the line but I'd rather have the "Wonder Woman Classic PF" right now to go with the Superman and Batman PFs. Of course, put a pair of bewbs on something and you guys lose any rational thought as it is. Now I'll be flamed for disagreeing with the fan boys who frequent this site 24-7 and someone will give me another red dot near my name but I'm hoping SS is releasing version 2 of their Wonder Woman PF on Thursday and we'll get version 1 someday with her looking a bit more like the iconic Wonder Woman.

I agree, no whip, no star studded underwear and no switch out head are my only gripes now. This will probably be the best WW made to date when released and if your a fan you have to get it. It's just too bad they missed this statue going (imo) from a 8 to the possibility a 10 with those added features. But you could be right about another WW, but I don't see it happening for a few years down the line and it'll probably be a legendary scale if this is successful and sells out fast enough and worth the incentive for SSC.

I see some custom whips being made once this things released.

I am going to try something like that. I want to display the axe, but the shield needs to be seen as well.

:exactly: The shield and the ax both look too good to be kept in the box if I have them both as display options. I'm happy with Sideshow's choice of weapons. That being said, it will be cool if someone can come up with custom weapons such as a sword, her lasso, or even just a closed fist to balance off the display by not holding too many weapons.

To quote Igo over at SF,

"About the height, we considered going lower but didnt want Supes and Bats to tower her, so she got a tall base so the Trinity could all share the same skyline. And the Spear looked so awesome in the concept we couldnt not do it, it was a gamble (how much space it took up) we were willing to take for her...

Future JLA members will come down a bit in size (skyline, not scale) trying to work with a "tier" affect. Secondary JLA will come down slightly, and 3rd tier a bit more-so. No definitive plans as to who's coming when, but we're being more cautious with the heights on some of these in the future."

I like what Sideshow is planning to do.

That is the dilemma I am having also, Hell they should of added a third option, her holding a Sword :lol:lol:lol

she's hott! can everyone say hott?!! noe

HOT!!!

That is Very Interesting to here, so there may be a chance of a True Green Lantern PF and also looking forward to when Flash comes out

That's what it sounds like, although Igo said that there's no definite plan yet on who's coming next and when they'll get released. I'm guessing that the new Green Lantern will come after Aquaman and Flash.

well everyone's different but I would push her away if she wanted if she Wanted the Raw Power of Colossus

That sounds cool to me. :D

I agree with a lot of your points. Sideshow tweaked the basic Wonder Woman outfit out of necessity more than style. All those stars on her underwear would have been a pain.

I remember John Byrne saying something about not having to draw all those stars on her bottom after he designed her having only three stars down there. The sculptor could do the multi-star look without much hassle; look at the other fine details. The painters in China would have the biggest challenge.

I personally would have preferred a sword and a shield in each hand. The reason why they didn't go for that was probably to balance the stance better. It flows better with the spear. I think eventually they will do a classic WW either as a PF or an LSF. If they wanted to go with the warrior approach my vote would have been for the Kingdom Come armor. It is her "Planet Hulk" gear for all intents and purposes. Switch out regular portrait and detachable wings. It may never happen of course as it seems too big of a project.

I would have much preferred this look over the warrior look they are releasing on Thursday. That's a beautiful drawing of her face as well. Who knows maybe we'll get the Kingdom Come version down the line. But I hope a more classic, iconic WW PF with lasso in play will be released soon someday. And not a LSF!! I ain't paying 2 Grand for anything from Sideshow or any other toy company for that matter.

I showed the pics of Wonder Woman to three friends (1 woman & 2 men) and my friend Mike said "Is that the hot chick from How I met your mother?" my other two friends agreed with the resemblance to Cobie Smulders.

We all agreed that she looks strong, confident and powerful. If that's what you call "hard" then I guess you're right.

You can't deny she has a hard look to her; very angular and chiseled. She can be portrayed a bit softer and still look strong, confident and powerful.

Because Sideshow is being creative and thinking outside of the box? Why do the same thing other companies have done before?

The problem is we've never gotten a truly great WW statue. I own pretty much all of them and I'm still waiting for THE iconic Wonder Woman statue.

Well...she is an Amazon Warrior.

What's the percentage of WW stories/comics/televison since 1942 that depict her in her warrior togs versus those stories that picture her in her classic costume? 500:1?

I'm sure Sideshow will produce a Classic WW and maybe she'll resemble Lynda Carter. :naughty

I'm not asking for Lynda Carter. I'm asking for the classic comic book version.

I love the idea, but with PF's being so large, and most collectors having bestas, is anyone really going to be able to display the JL together in a tiered layout like SSC is envisioning? If someone could do it, though, I think it would look amazing!

I think Sideshow has captured her beauty and strength. I don't see her as "hard" like you do.

I think that the Cover Girls WW statue is pretty great, but that's your opinion and that's fine.

Wonder Woman is an Amazon, plain and simple. It's part of her history.

I'm not asking for Lynda Carter. I'm asking for the classic comic book version.

I never said you were...I'm hoping it resembles Lynda Carter.
