Someone else pointed this out previously, but GL is sold out. Maybe they are focusing on the ones they still need to sell for the time being?

That Avengers group shot that I posted was put up by Sideshow after some of those Avengers pieces were sold out. Sideshow is not restricted by DC Comics terminology (Trinity) or the ability to sell some of these pieces themselves. If they wanted to post a group shot of all 4 pieces they could have.

The problem with guys like you is, you're not simply happy making your point that you don't like a piece and then leaving the thread to positively contribute in a thread of a statue you do like. You're only happy of you stay and try to bring everyone's mood/opinion down on it too. There is really no point to it, except to make these forums a more miserable experience for everyone. What's worse it's usually the same guys complaining about multiple statues in multiple threads as if they really have no other interest in this hobby other then to bring the people who enjoy it down.

:exactly::goodpost:.... This sums up everything I feel about this bull**** right now... It isn't that they say they don't like it... It is that they have to throw it into ALMOST EVEY POST .... IN EVERY THREAD. I remember when you told me I needed to tone it down about posting about how much I like the Superman because after awhile it is simply tiresome to read the same thing OVER and OVER again, and you were SO right. I wish others would listen.

I don't think that's true. When Sideshow does awesome on a piece ie: Punisher, Mary Jane Comm, we voice that as well but I can only speak for myself. When people feel the quality of a piece isn't on par with what it should be for the price, it's good to voice an opinion too, even numerous times. It is well known that Sideshow peeps read these threads from time to time. My goal is to voice my opinion when I'm happy, and when I think they majorly screwed up. Read my comments on Mary Jane and Punisher, I was floored at how awesome they are. I also bought the 1/6 Commander and Baroness and said how thrilled I was with their quality. I want a Bat PF too, but will wait for one that floors me. I am praying Supes looks better because I want nothing more than to keep Supes and be elated with his quality. I also think his ES was a little high but reasonable and stated that numerous times too. The great thing about these threads is EVERYONE gets to voice an opinion. I don't care that you guys repaeat over and over how great a piece is when I absolutely cannot stand it. Anyhoo, to each their own.

Okay see just to prove that I practise what I preach. When both of those pieces that you praised were Put up at SDCC I commented on both. One is an amazingly cute and sexy Comiquette, and one is the most plain *** boring Grammpa Potter looking PF I have seen since I joined the hobby, and I could have designed a more dynamic and exciting piece with one hand tied behind my back. Both are released, and I have said how much I love the one, and I have been COMPLETELY SILENT about the other till now. The one is a PERFECT representation of the character, small but perfect. The other isn't fit to carry Batman's Bat jock IMHO, and is the DEFINITION OF PLAIN!!! I am CONVINCED that half the reason you praise it so much is because it has the number 350 on the bottom. Now this is the last I will say about it, and I mean it, I will not debate it, but I am just making a point that there are always pieces we don't like. However, like CSI said above it isn't necessary to suck the joy out of something for others. Why can't you just let it drop??

I guess some people just have different taste. I think the Punisher was poorly done in comparison to the Batman PF. The Punisher definitely should have been fully sculpted because he's got the whole pajama look going for him. They could have done something better with the base and with that flate looking street-sweeper they gave him. When it comes to detail Batman has the Punisher beat by a mile.

I guess only they know why they did it. Lots of people were asking for that specific shot ahead of time (of the trinity).

How many anti GL pf posts has this dude made? Jebus.

The one analogous group in the Avengers would be Cap, Thor, and Iron Man... A Trinity of sorts. The God, the General, and the Genious.... But you are right they aren't called the "Trinity"...lol.

They are called The Big Three and have been marketed as such. :)

Google image search Avengers Big 3.

The Trinity is much more advertised as such and I think SSC is doing a great job doing the same. Aside from Spidey and Hulk... WW, Batman and Supes are the most iconic comic characters of all time in culture.

When I saw Supes I preordered him and Bats on the same day knowing I would have to get WW to add to the collection.

I'm so excited about this display and Im a Marvel guy. That's how much of a legacy these 3 characters have meant to pop culture.

So bring em on ZOMG

I would say Wolverine and Spider-Man are Marvel's most popular and iconic heroes.

Most Popular? I'd say currently definitely. Most historically iconic? Spidey yes. Wolvie no. Ask the average persons grandparent to name them five superheroes.

If they can and two of them are Marvel it would most likely be Spidey and Hulk. There was a reason Hulk had his own tv show early on. Both of them were included in people of the year in Time Magazine back in the 60s which was groundbreaking at the time.

How is that an anti GL PF post? Please. :lol

I didn't even bring up the original question of a group shot. Someone else did.

You guys took a crack at the reasons of why there wasn't one mostly revolving around the Trinity sales pitch. I gave you guys a counter-reply.

Where is the GL PF bashing? Show it to me.

lmfao Irvy's drunken POs continue - you should install a breathalyser on your comp mate!

:lol:rotfl:lol Bruce Campbell is coming to my town next month for Wizard World Comic Con. It made me think of you since I know you're a big fan of his. I thought I might have him sign a poster for you if I went, but then I found out he charges $40 for a signature. As it turns out a lot of these guys are charging for signatures these days. I feel like it's kind of a slap-in-the-face to us fans.
