The one analogous group in the Avengers would be Cap, Thor, and Iron Man... A Trinity of sorts. The God, the General, and the Genious.... But you are right they aren't called the "Trinity"...lol.

Its iron man, Spiderman, and wolverine!!! :p

Trinity Shimity, I got Bats, Supers, GL & now Wonder Women, I'm completing the Justice League. Stupid if another GL needs to made to fit the line.

The problem with guys like you is, you're not simply happy making your point that you don't like a piece and then leaving the thread to positively contribute in a thread of a statue you do like. You're only happy of you stay and try to bring everyone's mood/opinion down on it too. There is really no point to it, except to make these forums a more miserable experience for everyone. What's worse it's usually the same guys complaining about multiple statues in multiple threads as if they really have no other interest in this hobby other then to bring the people who enjoy it down.

I don't think that's true. When Sideshow does awesome on a piece ie: Punisher, Mary Jane Comm, we voice that as well but I can only speak for myself. When people feel the quality of a piece isn't on par with what it should be for the price, it's good to voice an opinion too, even numerous times. It is well known that Sideshow peeps read these threads from time to time. My goal is to voice my opinion when I'm happy, and when I think they majorly screwed up. Read my comments on Mary Jane and Punisher, I was floored at how awesome they are. I also bought the 1/6 Commander and Baroness and said how thrilled I was with their quality. I want a Bat PF too, but will wait for one that floors me. I am praying Supes looks better because I want nothing more than to keep Supes and be elated with his quality. I also think his ES was a little high but reasonable and stated that numerous times too. The great thing about these threads is EVERYONE gets to voice an opinion. I don't care that you guys repaeat over and over how great a piece is when I absolutely cannot stand it. Anyhoo, to each their own.

I think the overall point with the Avengers reference is that it's a group shot of who was in 1/4 at the time. With the JL SS didn't take that approach by having a similar "Justice League" photo of the 4 JL PFs. Instead, they chose to focus only on the Trinity for WW's marketing. At the same time, they could've taken an additional photo with GL added in to have a "Justice League" photo in the gallery as well, but they didn't and that's that.

However, there is no Justice League "line" and Green Lantern is not part of a different line from his teammates despite not being featured in any WW marketing. This is what I thought, as the marketing is just skewed towards "The Trinity" as opposed to the "JL" for Wonder Woman, but I'm no authority so I decided to ask if SS considers them different lines. Here's what SSAlex said at the Forum:

All the DC Premium Format Figures are considered an all encompassing full line of heroes and villains even though you can break them down into Justice League (Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman, Green Lantern), Batman Villains (The Joker, Harley Queen and Poison Ivy), Gotham Sirens (Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy), Gotham (Batman, The Joker, Harley Quinn, and Poison Ivy), Superman (Superman), Green Lantern (Green Lantern and Sinestro), etc.

No Justice League "line" people, just DC PFs, you break em down and pose them together as you choose.

I guess some people just have different taste. I think the Punisher was poorly done in comparison to the Batman PF. The Punisher definitely should have been fully sculpted because he's got the whole pajama look going for him. They could have done something better with the base and with that flate looking street-sweeper they gave him. When it comes to detail Batman has the Punisher beat by a mile.

I think the GL fits the idea of the 'skylines' that SS has ready talked about i.e. Trinity front and center and the tallest, second tier characters shorter. I'd expect flash to be a similar height to GL.

I like both but I do know what you mean as far as the details. I think Batman's pose is better. The musculature that can be seen under the cloth is much better and yes the Batman base is better. But I still love this Punisher PF he's really awesome looking in person.

They're going to have to give Aquaman and Martian Manhunter near flat bases then with GL only clocking in at 21" if they want to continue the "tiered" look.

Yeah, we could consider them the 3 most important/core members. However, to my knowledge, Marvel never really labeled those 3 as a group nor marketed them as such. They are a part of the Avengers. Plain and simple. DC purposely marketed Bats, Supes, and WW separately as the Trinity and they are featured as such on numerous occasions in comics and advertisements. That is why the word Trinity is emblazoned on the SSC promo pics of the 3 together. That is why we received emails from SSC that said "complete the Trinity". When they are being marketed as a group (Trinity), we will not see other members of the JLA included. Now after we see a few more JL PFs released, we'll probably start seeing some group shots. At least from forum members and possibly from SSC as well.

Oh man Chin, I hope so. I so want to display Flash and GL together. The only other pairing I would want with Hal is Green Arrow. However, if I get GA you can almost bank on the fact that I'll be picking up the Black Canary PF when she's released. I'd like Ollie and Dinah paired up so if Flash sizes up OK with Hal, that would be perfect.

I think it was SS Alex who talked about the tier idea and maybe on the other forum?

Yeah, she definitely did mention it. However, it's a guessing game as to which characters will fall into what tiers. We don't even really know if Flash is going to be a museum piece or an action pose. The only sneak peeks we have seen is the one of him stranding straight in a museum pose holding his glove. It would match the Trinity but Barry isn't called the fastest man alive because he stands around. I'm very curious as to what direction SSC will be taking with Flash.

25" to 21" is not a gradual drop, that's what I call a big dip!
They need something in between.

Aquaman 24-23" if going with this sketch.

Flash on flat base if in scale with trinity will stand at 21"

Martian Hunter is 6'7" definietly on flat base.
