:rotfl ............

You guys are slow with the pics
Pics were put up some pages back I guess. Not that we mind the repost!

WHOA! I just watched the Video 3 times and WHOA! again SSC showed me everything a wanted to see and SOLD!

Great Christmas Gift SSC
Finally, eh? Whaddaya think?

:monkey1

Who is that?

Lol I didn't even catch that... The ex is a must.

If any freaks that doesn't want to order the ex but want to help me out get a 2nd, lmk please.
I can't say for sure but I'll let you know.

I'm selling my Batman and cancelled Superman.

Oh and she's going to look killer next to Red Sonja.
Is that The Ex?

Those would be great. I would think the Flash should be next. I hope they capture the look of him.
That is gonna be difficult :wink1:

Yeah I agree. There is literally no point in this hobby if other people can enjoy it too. I don't even display what I collect since what they look like doesn't matter! All I do is go for the low ES stuff! So long as I have it and others don't, I'm happy!
While I don't care much about ES, having something that others don't would please me too.

How many talented painters can their be? Sideshow really needs to stop with the crazy ES overkill and get back to quality paint jobs they are capable of. Some Ivy PFs looked great and others looked terrible and only until now did I understand your theory as to why. Even good painters will get tired after working all day like we all do. :slap A beautiful sculpt like Wonder Woman needs a beautiful paint job as well.
I think the best way would be to set an ES and produce them in batches. Some people don't mind waiting and hatch production would help take the stress off those painters thereby contributing to QC as well.

know already how many WW ?
As much as they can sell :p

Plus more :thud:

Re: Wonder Woman for late 2013

If I get this it could very well be the one piece I send it out to get repainted. Skin tones scare me.

I was thinking the same thing with regards to the skin tone although I won't have it repainted. Hopefully the soon tone will look better on the production pieces; this piece would look so much better with a little bit of shading, in my opinion.

Other than that, it looks great even though the face IS a little bit masculine from certain angles and her chest armour makes her look like she may have had implants. :) I'm sure the final reveal will blow us all away, though. Look at how many positive changes the upcoming Superman comic PF went through before it went up for PO. Also, love the spear and shield! Definitely worth the wait!

Yes everything always sells out in time. But the massive ES will kill the fun in collecting with statues going for less then what retail is. Also it won't be anything rare which makes collecting fun at least for us who likes rarer collectibles instead of walmart collectible ES items. :wink1:

Everyone collects for various reasons and whatever it is that makes this hobby fun for a person is cool with me.

Having said that...I don't care about ES, ES means nothing to me.

Why anyone would deny themselves the opportunity to add a cool looking collectible to their collection because of a high ES is funny to me... but to each their own.

As long as I can add a statue like Wonder Woman to my collection then Sideshow, or any other collectibles manufacturer, can make a billion statues for all I care. :peace

You're not really a "collector", then....

That actually makes a lot of sense and I never thought of that. Scarlet Witch turned out beautiful as did Storm PF (both lower ES). Ohhhh GAWD I hope WW isn't another paint disaster. DC wouldnt risk getting WW wrong. So far the DC statues, while there have been some limited QC issues, have come out looking pretty close to the protos. I honestly believe that this will have one of the best production pant jobs the hobby has seen in awhile. They can't risk screwing up the icon.

I am thinking one of the idea of collecting is collecting something that is unique, like a gem with different carat and flaw or no flaw and various color, etc. otherwise, its kina like collecting sand or a dime-a-dozens. not a lot of fun in it although I've seen people collect sand from various beaches/places they travel.

as for me, ES, is a small criteria in my decision.

Short editions have their charm, to have something that few have, but I prefer to SS make 1 million ES and are all well done that SS do 400ES and come with failures painted, sculpted etc.

In brief, no matter how many have something, what matters is that you like what you have and while you waiting what you want enjoy what you have.

Is what I think.

Damn I could have copy and pasted this exact conversation from every major release.

Mistermark and CBG stop being so damn predictable...lol.

"WOW... I love this, but if the number on the bottom is to big I am out,,"
"Yeah these ESs are out of control, and the QC will suck because of it"
"Oh oh oh and my **** shrinks if the ES is over 150"
"Yeah me to, and my girl with the great natural rack can't even find it with a telescope"
"Whats your gfs name anyway"
"ummmm... Ivy"
"You mean the statue????"
"ummmm..........

Yes"

:horror:horror:horror:horror:horror:horror

Come on guys we just got the preview... Just bask for awhile...... Worry about the ES in a few months when this goes up for PO...lol.

You need to find another hobby. If you don't already do I recommend collecting original comic art. That's in the same area as what we discuss here. Everthing there has an es of 1 (one). That should suit you.

And good luck ........... there's a reason as SS statue cost $400 and a orignal Hal Foster Tarzan page cost $22,000 (https://www.comicartfans.com/ForSaleDetails.asp?ArtId=335453)
