The zombies in the book slow down in wintertime. They were never sprinters, though. There's even a portion of the book that talks about military tactics against them ... they switched to semi-auto and fired one shot-per-second, instead of spraying automatics and using explosives, because the zombies came fairly slowly and relentlessly.

from the looks of it it doesn't look like the movie will take that route but it makes me wonder if they will have a wintertime for the movie.

This looks stupid. Really really horrible. The zombies don't look scary. They don't look cool. Just really ugly messy CGI.

You can't even tell those are zombies! They just look like people running around..... and brad is so intrusive, he's like tom cruise in that you dont even see his character, you just see HIM.

As a serious zombie fan, this is an easy pass.

Thought I was the only one who noticed. They dont look like zombies, theres no sense of fear in the trailer. The RE movie's look more like zombie movies in my eyes. They honestly look like coked up crack heads jumping and fumbling all over each other. Looks like a good TF level fun movie tho.

Yep, only way to have properly tackled the books. Should have been a Twilight Zone type show with each episode telling a different story.

Granted I haven't read the book but taken at face value I think this will be a kick *** action movie. Can't say I really understand the hatred it seems to be getting. Knowing myself, even if I read the book, this looks like a movie that I would love to see. Looking forward to it.

Read the book and you'll understand. It's an extremely easy read and really cool. It won't spoil the movie as it seems to have nothing at all to do with it.
