I like the fact that they're very fast and monsterish in behavior, I just wish they didn't look like average everyday humans.

Its difficult to tell how they look at the moment. They're moving too fast, and are too far away in all the shots I've seen. Kinda remind me of the 'I am Legend' creatures so far. I liked 'Legend' a lot, so I'm fine with that.

I thought in the first trailer you could see one chasing Brad Pitt as he ran to a helicopter and it looked like a normal person with white, cloudy eyes. Maybe not. I'll have to watch it again later.

I really enjoyed I Am Legend as well.

Yesterday, I watched the trailer for this movie. Last night, I had a dream that a zombie apocalypse was actually taking place. In my dream I said to myself, of all the movie type situations to actually take place, it had to be a zombie apocalypse.:slap
Anyways, I do think this will be an enjoyable flick.

EDIT: By the way, in my dream, I was getting ready to leave my house as all of the survivors were headed south for some reason. I was trying to figure out if it would be worth it to grab some of my HT figures:rotfl

I have nothing against this movie, it's just not World War Z. Much like the original GI Joe flick isn't a horrible movie, it's just not GI Joe.

There are normally 3 reasons to watch a zombie movie.

1. The gore
2. The commentary
3. The make-up.

Sounds like we're getting only one of those. It being PG-13 and all.

I had avoided the trailers, etc for this. But I finally saw it before Star Trek.

And until skimming this thread, I had NO idea they were supposed to be zombies. I thought it was some sort of Happening type bull**** with people losing their minds.

Why were you avoiding trailers if you didn't even know what the "Z" in the title stood for?

This movie has me very excited. Mostly I'm excited for watching the zombies pile top of each other like ants. That is a pretty cool concept to me. A much different take on zombies.

I quite like this poster.

Me too. I bought the same 6'x 4' ft. bus shelter poster for my living room. I hope it turns out to be a good movie.

Its a horrible one frankly. Nothing in ANY of the trailers even suggests this film has zombies in it. That doesn't help people understand what the Z stands for. I think they really blew it on the marketing. The film might be better, but they are doing a miserable job advertising it the way it should be.

I feel like theres going to be alot more to this movie than the marketing suggests. Seems to have alot going on, hopefully that will be a good thing.

Yes that's what I am thinking. I wasn't all that excited about this to begin with but I actually think there will be more to it.

Zombies that move like ragdoll ants on acid and Brad Pitt with a unattractive wife.

Pass.......

Digital Spy gave the film four stars out of five and wrote, "Diehard zombie fans may find there's not enough gore, no lingering close-ups of the undead feasting on entrails, but grossness is replaced by a richly thick atmosphere of constant threat. The hellish tableaux of cityscapes where the masses are made to look like colonies of bacteria blooming in a petri dish are truly horrifying, and Gerry is always an inch away from being swallowed up in it."

Huh? No gore? ...meh.
