Not sure which film's CG is worse, this or G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra. :(

When I first saw the video, I chalked the poor CGI up to it being a lower res video from Entertainment Tonight. Now that I see the official trailer I feel like the CG is so muddy that it's hard to tell whats going on.

I have seen trailers released where the CG didnt look so good and improved with the feature film release, that may be the case with this. Hope so, but then the Zombie Horde/wave looks impossible to escape and makes me wonder how believable it would be that Pitt and family survive. At least with slow undead you can outrun them. Even Snyder's DOTD turbo Zombies, you had a chance in smaller numbers, this looks a bit like overkill.

Guess my mind is changing on this movie.

Could be a good summer flick but it does look forgettable and zombies will never die out nor vampires lol.

while it is odd, based on the trailer alone, the fast moving zombies are what makes it interesting to me and not appear to be just another zombie flick... :monkey1

Well, the official trailer is looking good, the cgi zombies slightly more palatable.

Two things I hate:

- no zombies! (looks more like the infection from 28 days later)

- nothing like the book at all, beauty of the book is being able to see how different nation and people deal with the outbreak. I especially love the Chinese submarine chapter.

Definitely not the book at all but I may give it a try as the zombie wave seems to be pretty creepy looking. And I love a good end of the world film, especially with those production values. Too bad its going to end up PG-13.

Looks stupid as hell! Some one had an excuse to use CG water effects???. :lol
The CG will be "I am Legend" quality :lol :ohbfrank::yuck

The rest looks good/okay.... but the ocean of zombies is just dumb. What a way to ruin a good book!

Watch out for the hyper speed rolling blob of gummy zombies! :horror:horror:horror

It looks ok so far, I've never read the book so I can't comment on that.
I agree with most about the zombies looking kinda fake and cgi-ish, but Brad Pitt is actually one of my favourite actors so I'm willing to give it a chance.

The zombies in this movie remind me of the infected from I Am Legend. I really loved the first 2/3rds of that movie, right up to the point that Neville escapes from the dark building with Sam and they reveal the super athletic, horribly CGIed monsters.

I liked that film up until the woman came along an miraculously found him. No longer was he the only man alive... no longer was the film really cool.
Best scene is where he drives and sees his mannequin friend "staring" at him.
