Well, it had such perfect dialog, the action was amazing, great acting. It was a bit slow in the first half, but the second half was really interesting with the characters and the car chase.

Oh yeah, and worst movie of '07--Captivity, what a piece of crap

Nomination for '08--In the Name of the King, Uwe Boll go to hell.

I will say the action was good for Death Proof once it started and in the first half Kurt Russell really carried the film but I was bored by the dialogue.
Sitting there watching both groups of women talk really reminded me of a group of women having lunch talking about nothing and me being the only guy there wondering what are these hens babbling about.
But that is just my opinion.

SM3 is the only one I can think of off the top of my head. Absolute crap, and a huge disappointment to the previous SM films.
Urgh.

AVP:R hands down....it made SM3 look Oscar worthy. Jesus Christ they screwed the pooch with that one....

Spiderman 3 was by far the biggest disappointment. I wouldn't say anything I have seen was bad but I really didn't make it to the movies as often as I had liked.

Transformers would probably be second.

Was Borat 2007 or late 2006? If it was 2007 it was by FAR the worst of the year.

AVPR - pizza delivering geeks that are afraid to ask out the girl they want in a ******* Alien Vs Predator movie.

Didn't see a lot this year...too busy with work.

But... Spiderman 3 gets my vote. Cringe-inducing.
POTC3 was pretty bad too but at least the effects were pretty to look at...

I quite liked AWE and didn't hate S3, although I thought it the least of the 3 Spider-man movies.

But you guys didn't see very many movies if those 2 are cited as the worst - just in the past month there was Fred Claus and Alvin and the Chimpmunks - 2 that could easily be the worst of the year for me.

Golden Compass was pure shat!!! By far the worst movie I have seen in a long time.

I think people are just substituting WORST movie of the year with their most disappointing. I agree with the consensus that both SM3 and AWE were huge letdowns and arguably quite crappy movies... but clearly there were much worse this past year.

Conversely, I think many here are also substituting their FAVORITE movie of the year in the "BEST" of 2007 thread. It's the only way to explain the amount of folks posting "Transformers".

I thought Spidey 3 was great! I mean c'mon, seeing Spidey and Harry flying around on that hover board was damn cool.

I have three kids and can't get to the movies that much anymore, so I make it a point to try to avoid bad movies. I'm sure that there were some bad films this year, but I was trying to avoid them.

So I can't vote for Norbit, I Know Who Killed Me, Who's Your Caddy?, or Delta Farce because I was smart enough to not watch them in the first place.

Although from what I hear, The Number 23 should be near the top of the list.

:lecture Most accurate and honest post in this thread yet.

On a personal level...Wouldn't your FAVOURITE and BEST movies for 2007 be the same??? I don't know what you mean IJ...Maybe I'm with the others in saying my Favourite is the best of '07...In my opinion...and that was 300....and worst movie that I SAW...was Hostel 2.
