I only watched two films that made his list. I agree GR was a turd but I enjoyed Taken 2...

I would have to rate biggest disappointments of 2012 (not horrible but didn't live up to the hype):

The Hobbit

The Dark Knight Rises


By no means "teh worst", because that ain't true at all. Real effort and work went into it. It was this big, grossly over hyped, clunky, juggernaut though.

I didn't see every film that was released this year so I'm not sure I saw one that's "awful" or "terrible". Taken 2 was pretty bad though and I loved the first one.

I agreed with your entire list except the Hobbit, which I can't comment on, because I haven't nor do I plan to see it, I couldn't sit through any of the Lord of The Rings Movies due to too much talking and not enough action. oh and add to that list all the date movies that came out...I wish they would give the date movies about a three year break, and then maybe...just maybe they will be refreshing enough to watch again.

Not but seriously, I am a huge fan of Silent Hill, huge fan of the first movie. I was ecstatic to see this come out I was waiting for years to see Silent Hill 2 being made. I couldn't wait...

Then what I saw was pure...

Some movies like Ghost Rider 2 or Resident Evil 5 are really bad or stupid but they were not as bad as silent hill. The way I see it is, if a movie is at least a little bit entertaining then it is not a complete waste.
Ghost Rider sucked but I did like anytime he was on screen as Ghost Rider. I enjoyed seeing the flaming skull. the rest was crap.

Same thing with Resident Evil, movie was really stupid but the fight scenes and the action was pretty entertaining.

Silent Hill had nothing that was entertaining for me. just a boring mess. (Mannequin monster was pathetic, the Mall scene was ridiculous, the ending made me cringe, horrible story..)

I watched that **** silent hill for 2 minutes and turned it off.
battleship was up there for me.

You seen all 10 of those? I didn't see any of them. I'm sure I probably would've like Resident Evil and Underworld though.

Battleship I liked. Don't understand the hate on that one. Much worse movies out there.

I only saw 13 films this year and probably the worst of the lot was The Rise of the Guardians. It was okay, and it's by far not one of the top 10 worst of the year, but of the ones I saw, that one is on the bottom.

While the Dictator wasn't great it made my Dad laugh his head off so that automatically doesn't put it at worst of the year.
