i dont think you can compare neca with cm or ss, but neca puts out pretty cool figs for the price + not all of us can afford 1-2k pieces....imo

you certainly can compare the sculpts, or at least the prototypes and NECA's is pretty much dead-on. i don't care about the price as much as the accuracy of the piece. the NECA figure is more accurate than the $2k CM so i'd rather have the figure. the cannon on the SSC maquette doesn't look right to me either, but the rest of it is awesome even though i don't like the pose.

I constantly read that NECA is great 'for the price' which always sounds a bit patronising and backhanded to me.

If poseable figures are what you prefer then as far as you need be concerned, yes, NECA is better than the CM or any SS bust or statue.

A statue can look as fantastic as it wants but I can't do anything with it. Thus, for me, NECA is better.

Im not as big a nit picker as some about the "accuracy" of said figure to said figure. The Predator is BY FAR my favorite movie creature/alien ever, and I have loved every (Hot Toys/CM/SS/NECA/McFarlane) version all the companies have put out. Each are great in their own right. As a collector and a fan of the creature I dont care about which is "better"

To those of you saying you don't want batteries in the base because you don't think having sounds would be a good idea, have you thought about a light up wrist computer?

Did he maybe confuse the SSC maquette with the CM? Or by "maquette", he was still referring to the CM? If so, yeah. The NECA figure actually does have a better likeness than the CM. And the HT version.

I'd prefer a 1/6 scale figure, but 18 inch would be fine too, as long as the quality is good.

And Flacco, please stop posting, you're just emberassing yourself now.:slap
