I voted in favor of an 18 inch scaled 1st movie Predator. That would definitely be a highlight of my collection. In fact, I would buy at least 2 but probably closer to 3 or 4 of that figure. I've had the Classic on my shelf for the past 2 weeks and everytime I walk past the shelf, I stop and admire the sculpt. A+ work, Tankman.
On a related note, I took a poll of the guys in my office to see if they'd also buy the 18 inch Predator. All 5 said they would. I know we can't add them to the poll going on here but I thought it would help add to the knowledge that there is big interest in this figure. It should also be noted that they all own the 18 inch scaled Alien.

Why not? I'm sure they could find a good way to hide it.

If not in the figure itself then a base with a sound chip would be cool.

I don't know, i wouldn't mind THAT much but the idea of batteries in a figure that could possibly leak and damage the figure would freak me out. I would remove the batteries from mine straight away.

In a base it would be kinda cool.

I just noticed that NECA is talking about producing a large scale CLASSIC predator (predators). I hope they mean the 87 predator! I'm not buying classic from predators in large scale.

14" is too short. in 1:6 scale, P1 should be 15". the HT 14" figures are more like 1:7 scale.

If you go by what is actually on screen, 13.5" to 14" would be about accurate for the "super" Preds since the actors palying them were 6'5" to 6'7". But yeah if the make a P1, 15" would be ideal.

neca 22 inch alien didn't have sound, why should the 18 inch predator ?
i want 1/6 and a 18 inch predator, then everyone will be happy.

Neca is great for 15 bucks, anything more to that i'll stick to Sideshow and hot toys. plus I have no interest in anything over 1/6 scale.

No offence but the Nostromo Xenomorph wasn't exactly a chatty creature, unless you want to include Brett's screams or Goldsmith's classic score. The Jungle Hunter is a perfect fit for a sound chip. Watch the film again. Several scenes are based and built around the Predator observing and recording the soldiers. We got up know it from Bill Duke and Sonny Landham before we were graced by Kevin Peter Hall.

yeah, i really only care about the Kevin Peter Hall preds (P1, P2, Elder) being 15". the other preds don't need to be that big.

i thought it would be cool for the alien figure to have that "heartbeat" sound effect from whenever it showed up in the movie. it's pretty iconic. and i agree about the P1 sounds.

nah, i already have a 24in maquette, dont need a inferior fgure close to its height next to it. if they can do better than the HT version in 1/6, maybe................

actually, the NECA figure is more accurate than the maquette. it just needs a better paint app. so, i'd rather have the figure. getting a pro to repaint it might make up for the difference in price anyway.:lol

i dont see how that is possible, the maquette is a scan sculpt off of the real thing from SWS :cuckoo:

I want a 1/6th scale one by Neca at around $39-49 with lights and sound. I have no room or need for a 18inch figure with shotty paint apps.
