Well, there's someone on 4chan claiming to have seen a rough cut and is telling the entire story, obviously don't know if true but it's a fun read as usual

X-men films I usually stay spoiler free so I won't read it, but from what you read, did it sound better that DOFP?

I don't think I can answer that question since the guy from the thread is telling what he remembers, it's very specific but not down to dialogue lines and camera angles and such, so I can't tell you if it's better. But the overall plot and development of events sounds pretty exciting imo, the scope is as big if not a tad bigger than DOFP, most characters sound extremely interesting, personally I'm super hyped to see Fassbender's character this time around, a lot is going on with him, as is usual, he's by far the most tortured character of the movie (and the franchise for that matters).

Apparently Mystique is the weakest link but not because of how the character is written, but because of Jlaw's performance.

I love Jackman in the role and actually hate he isn't in this, but I'd also like to see other characters start to get some shine. Im just hoping Jen Lawrence doesn't have more screen time than Fassbender and Mcavoy.

My Wife gave me a look of shock when I told her Wolverine wouldn't be in this movie, I think I then heard an expletive, but it was said pretty low, under her breath.

I don't blame her

I'm sure he'll be making a cameo, but I wanted him back as a main character, especially since he's retiring after Wolverine 3.

I have no problem with Mystique taking the mentor role, in the comics, especially the ultimate comics she was good plenty of times, and actually a former girlfriend of Professor X. My problem is, Jennifer Lawrence is just completely miscast. I thought her performance in DOFP was slightly better than FC but still, she was pretty bad in both films.

I thought she did an amazing job in Days of Future Past, she did steal the show from Magneto IMO... very emotionally charged.

By the time this film makes its run, I've seen enuff of her ******* to not give a **** anymore about her character. Nothing against her personally, just the film is called Apocalypse, not Wolverine or Mystique... They have a cast of over 10 mutants... share some of the screen time. Storm seems like a sideline character with no lines in this film which I hope is not the case.

I dont like her a mystique anymore either. plus isn't she supposed to be the bad guy? Why is she front and center taling about what it means to be an xmen. If these are still prequels then somthing must of happened to her to turn her almost mute and just not give a **** about anybody anymore.

In the OT She killed Trask and then went onto to kill more and more and lost her soul so to speak which is why she was cold and quiet. BUT Charles prevented her from going down that path in this new timeline so now she's taking a different role in life

Oh, you poor chump...

There was absolutely no connection between Mystique and Xavier in the XOT.
In the original DoFP timeline Raven was captured right after killing Trask, and he wasn't Bill Duke.

FC is not a prequel to and DoFP is not a continuation of X-Men/XII/Last Stand/TW story line.

Mystique leading the X-Men is a joke. We have yet to see a movie where Cyclops is depicted as the heir apparent that he is in the comics. But we have movies with Wolverine and Mystique leading the X-Men. Singer needs to be taken off this series. He doesn't get the X-Men.

I think it might have made sense for Beast to lead the team for this movie since he was the one that stuck by Xavier. I like Cyclops a whole lot, but I don't think it's fair for Beast to be bossed around by the new kid since he's got seniority.
