2016 went from potentially being the biggest and best year in comic book movie history to one of the worst if X MEN and the upcoming films aren't good. That's not good for the comicbook film genre, and why all the studios kind of need each other, because a disappointing year can affect the genre and maybe even next year's film profit.

Deadpool was pretty good

BVS failed miserably

Capt 3 is really good

X Men sucks apparently

Suicide Squad, Dr Strange, and TMNT can still save 2016.

It has nothing to do with FOX's checkered history with the X-Men franchise . . .

I would think it's just critics being dead set on what they think cape movies should be in their obtuse judgment, wouldn't discard the mouse being involved though, directly or indirectly.

I would've thought Singer was safe from the critics (since they're obviously focusing on Snyder), given the pretty great record Singer has with the Fox-men, but apparently not.

Regardless, reviews don't mean anything anymore, I'll form my own opinion.

I enjoy x3 too. Really goes all out with continuing stories and finishing a trilogy. And some really cool action, I don't understand the hate. I can see the issues though
