I got him repped for you. :duff

Thanks! :duff

Honestly SNIKT you don't even really come across as someone who knows what he's talking about. You lamented the fact that Civil War didn't end with Captain America's death when...he didn't die at the end of Civil War in the comics. And that's just one of many examples. Sounds like your routine is just to criticize whatever you don't like under the guise of "it didn't match the source material" regardless of whether or not it did, and regardless of you giving a pass to non-MCU films that also deviate.

I mean it's one thing to be a broken record or beat a dead horse, but your repetitive spiel isn't even accurate. And as has already been pointed out to you these MCU films are borrowing the names of certain miniseries (The Winter Soldier, Civil War) but they are actually adapting many different scenarios that came from the comics. Cap swimming up to a ship to battle Batroc came from John Byrne's early 80's run for instance, Cap fighting his way across a helicarrier filled with "evil SHIELD agents" was from issue 227 in 1978, him stealing gear from the Smithsonian was from Waid in 1996, etc.

Similarly the Russos didn't set out to adapt "Civil War" and nothing else (thank God as it was a pretty crappy comic) but brought in elements from when Cap went rogue as "The Captain" when he refused to follow orders of the Commission of Superhero Activities from 1987-1989. In that story he relinquished his original shield to the government, was given a new one by Tony, then after they fought over ideological differences (almost 30 years ago!) he gave the shield Tony made back to him and used one made by Black Panther instead. That is what a lot of what the current film universe seems to be taking cues from and heading toward but it's like you can't get past the title and a news report you saw 10 years ago about Cap's death in a rebooted series. Again it just doesn't seem like you're really familiar with any of these storylines that the Russos are constantly pulling from.

Man, you either insult people who don't agree with you, or you don't accept the scans and keep going your way. I really have nothing to say to you, since all you will do is put your fingers to your ears and keep singing tralalalaFiegeSuckslalala. I broke down Civil War to the tiniest detail in that spoiler tag. I provided scans and even articles. Everything you need to know about the book, everything that lead up to it and its fallout, it's there.

As for the rest, it's simply your opinion. Yes, the Mandarin was a joke. But since you're such a fan of the source material, I guess you wanted to see British x Asian Doctor Doom with Magic Dragon Rings use karate chops on Iron Man. As for Ultron, he's had so many Models, that I don't see the problem. He once dressed up as a cowboy, and is currently in a symbiotic relationship with Hank Pym...His dad... Sure, I would've rathered something more menacing, but I ain't gonna complain all day. As for Ant-Man, it was a Scott Lang movie, not a Hank Pym one. Scott Lang is the down-on-his-luck brilliant doofus who loves his daughter. I didn't see anything wrong with it. But that's entirely subjective.

Again, you can call us MCU Lovers, Feige Whores and the like, but please, never, ever, undermine my comic book knowledge and love for them. That is something that simply doesn't hold any ground, considering my posts.

Two really good posts. :lecture :clap :clap

Exactly, to be honest they need to scrap Gambit as well, and don't even think about a Mystique movie.

The Mystique movie is unnecessary but a Doug Liman-directed Guild of Thieves movie with Lea Seydoux as Belladonna sounds fantastic.

i agree a Mystique movie is unnecessary. There has been so much focus on her in the last 3 and I thought JL was rather weak in Apocalypse. Now that she had the star power to not get in the make up it made Mystique rather pointless at times.

Singer saying that they should do a Mystique movie, with or without Lawrence. I don't think she was really a draw at all for Apoc, so I'm not sure she could carry a solo X-film on her own. And no way could some random replacement make it work financially. Putting apart the question of whether it makes sense from a narrative standpoint. I think it actually does, given how her character has been built up. But I, too, wouldn't be very interested in seeing it. Solo Nightcrawler movie? Yes, please.

I'm ready for an X-men reboot in the MCU. All the talk about the comics has made realize how much some of the characters are underrepresented in this franchise. I need to see Rogue at full power damnit.

I saw X-Men Apocalypse the other day and I really enjoyed it. Personally, I thought it was better than Civil War. Apocalypse himself is definitely not something I would have OK'd but his version still kept me interested. I still think his costume was a bit silly. Overall, it was my favorite X-Men movie so far.

Ah, alright that puts things into perspective but did he actually do anything in Cairo? I only remember all the destruction coming at the hands of Apocalypse when he was making his little pyramid and Magneto was basically just standing there watching.

It's true, the blue dude started the Cairo destruction, but the rest of the world's upheaval was all Magneto, wasn't it?

EDIT: Oh, and regarding J. Law's Mystique, I find her utterly boring. None of the danger and sex appeal of Rebecca Romjin-Santos...

I thought Romjin was a much more entertaining, badass and seductive Mystique especially in her body paint. She had the great fight scene with Wolverine in X1 and the scene where she infiltrated Stryker's base was fantastic. Not to mention trying to seduce Wolverine. Romjin was also hotter out of the body paint. Comparatively Lawrence has been a lightweight. I like her as an actress, just not at all as Mystique.

I think X-Men has yet to open in China, but at this point $500M may be a stretch. I doubt it will hold on to #1 this coming weekend with TMNT 2 opening, which will also probably outperform internationally as well. The only positive thing about the underperformance is maybe it will finally shut Kinberg up about Fantastic Four. The higher ups at Fox have to realize they need to put their mutant house if their flagship is struggling. The last thing they need is for Wolverine 3 to underperform.

I don't get all the hate for it. I quite enjoyed it. But then I also enjoyed Batman vs Superman (though Lex was a bit underwhelming).

They both scored the same for me, 8/10. Though Magneto's scenes in Poland and Wolverine's berserker Weapon X massacre elevate it slightly over CW.

I think the hate is a little overblown. But that being said, I didn't love it or hate it. It was just another going through the motions X-Men film that had a cliche villain, and a cluster **** final battle that was pretty boring aside from the end section with everyone vs. Apocalpyse. But overall the film really did nothing for me at all. The only aspect I liked was Scott, Jean and Nightcrawler.

I thought Jlaw looked smoking hot in that black outfit of hers with the center cut out.

The final attack on Caitlin was actually pretty rip roaring fist pumping exciting, Xavier begging Jean to unleash her power helped.

But i'm sorry, that QS scene wasn't as good as DOFP.

:lol That's the one thing most reviewers here agree with, it seems... Shame twas such a short scene, it was definitely the standout part of her performance...

Pretty fair assessment from my stand point. The pieces of the film I found above par was Quicksilver and Jean "Phoenix"...everything else pretty meh. Very disappointed with the talk of Wolverine scene but I didn't find it all that great. I don't find myself hating it but no desire to see it again.

Same here.
