No new stuff for me either, will just serve to taint my happy memories sitting in my attic.

Now I just go watch the movie versions of my collection even if all the stories are combined into a blendar for maximum profit and efficiency.

I ain't complaining.

Disney lover here, no problem admitting that.

Still does to me. :lol

So many characters deserve standalone movies over both of them, I would love to see a Namor or MoonKnight from Marvel, and Fox needs to get New Mutants and X-Force out there before they think about anything else. No X-Man or Brotherhood member deserve their own movies outside of Wolverine in my opinion, at least not until they're established in a team film and there's some sort of demand there.

I did like that Singer the at least hinted that the movie doesn't need Jennifer Lawrence though.

Getting back to X-Men, I almost never hear anyone mention Joss Whedon's run on Astonishing X-Men. I didn't read them but IIRC they were highly praised when they first came out. Anyone a fan?

Do you recall when exactly they got rid of all thought balloons?

Here's a neat article about it: https://toobusythinkingboutcomics.blogspot.gr/2015/07/from-bubbles-to-boxes-shift-from.html

Moon Knight is better suited for a Netflix show. Namor is tricky though. He's what Aquamomoa is trying to be, though that might seem as too much of a "copy" on Marvel's part. I say introduce him as a Black Panther antagonist first, and then, based on the reception, give him a spin-off.

As for Fox, I'd really like to see a "Brotherhood" movie down the line, either with the Freedom Force team, or the modern one, which is esentially just the more radical X-Men, like Cyclops and Magneto. An All-New X-Factor movie would be swell as well.

It's excellent if you like Whedon's sense of humor. It's the reason I was so excited when he was announced for Avengers.

Twas damn great. Coming off of Morrison's black leather, it was a nice trip down memory lane. I've not finished it yet (or maybe I have and just don't remember it), but it's great. It's got humor, drama, whacky and serious plots alike, there's a neat balance.

That wouldn't be half bad actually, if he sticks with modern goofy teenager X-men.

He could probably do a good job with Kid Omega.

But maybe just writing and assisting direction, no directing.

There's only one thing worse than Bendis-Talk, and that's Aaron's X-Kids and Hellfire Brats. Quire's very cool (yeah, I know he's not Aaron's), but the rest? Eye-Boy? Shark-Girl? Martha (Hopeman and Batfleck are gonna love that one)? Aaron can be either very good, or very, very bad...

I was thinking more along the lines of the kid bits of new mutants, I actually never read Aaron's X-men.

And yeah, I didn't know Aaron outside the GoT run, which was masterful, and I thought he had a gun to his head writing Whor, but apparently he's capable of some bad **** on his own :lol

Oh, yeah. Rockslide and Armour were damn cool. Yeah, I could see that.

As for Aaron, honestly, he can be either very good, or absymal. His current Doctor Strange run is just his GoT story with a different cast. NuThor, the previous vol at least, was awful, and I can't stress that enough. I mean, look at this ****:

Current Mighty Thor is eh. It's toned down the whole thing, and is just telling story. Though Jane is still annoying as hell. His Wolverine and the X-Men was average to good. It's just his kids that sucked.

I can't wrap my head around how come a guy who writes Thor like it's Conan the Barbarian and other old epic pulp fantasy macho stories, write stupid **** like that too.

I'm just gonna think he does it for the money so I can still respect him.
