Never cared for her, but the potential her character has had in comics and might have in the movie is pretty big. She definitely fits in with the 80s youth casting for the movie anyway.

X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Concept Art Officially Released; Simon Kinberg Reveals New Story Details

There's been a lot of grumbling about the sheer amount of mutants that X-Men: Apocalypse appears to be cramming in, but fear not, because regardless of how many cameos the movie ends up featuring, the three who matter will be taking on well-deserved leading roles. "They’re as much a part
of the movie as our main cast," writer and producer Simon Kinberg says of Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, and Alexandra Shipp. "Scott is not yet the squeaky-clean leader. Storm is
a troubled character who is going down the wrong path in life. And Jean is complex, interesting and not fully mature. It’s fun to see someone struggling with their powers when you know one day they’ll become the most powerful person in the world." Director Bryan Singer meanwhile promises an X-Men movie very different to what's come before, and that's mostly down to the addition of Oscar Isaac's Apocalypse. "It’s a big monster of a movie. The stakes are so high and global and the villain
is so mythic. It’s definitely an X-Men movie, but it really feels different."
As well as returning cast members James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, and Ian McKellen, X-Men: Apocalypse will also introduce Alexandra Shipp, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Lana Condor, Oscar Isaac, Ben Hardy, Olivia Munn, and a number of others. That's one hell of a cast, huh? The movie is set to be released on May 27th, 2016.

https://www.slashfilm.com/rumor-x-men-movies-wrapping-up/

A new rumor has surfaced that X-Men Apocalypse and Wolverine 3 will shut the book on the world Singer created back in 2000. Then, everything moving forward will be tied to the X-Men First Class world, which would likely include Gambit, Deadpool and maybe even Fantastic Four. Read more about the X-Men movies rumor below.

loose rumor, he said he wasn’t sure. But the only way this rumor makes sense – and it does – is if what I said above is true and actors like Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy stick around, while people like Patrick Stewart and Hugh Jackman are out. (We’ve heard Jennifer Lawrence wants out after Apocalypse.)

A solo Wolverine movie would be the ultimate send off for Jackman, warranting its existence and giving closure to the lynchpin character who will have anchored the series for nearly twenty years. We’ve also heard rumors that Stewart himself would appear in the third Wolverine film. Those puzzle pieces all give this rumor some juice.

Then there’s the fact all of the popular characters have been recast as of X-Men Apocalypse and new ones are coming. If this is true, it would probably be a smooth transition. Then – you’d have to imagine – Wolverine would be recast in whatever the sequel to X-Men Apocalypse is, pretty much marking the end of an era.

Yeah, if the only change from the original film is casting-related, then it's no big story IMO. The writing is on the wall at this point. And even there, I bet they'll bring Jackman back in a few years when he gets an itch :lol

Liking the art there. I was hoping too that Xavier would be bald already, or balding... but it's not bothering me really. Sounds like this might be Singer's last outing as director. If this transitions to a brand new cast and director, I guess I won't be too bothered with a new Wolverine, as long as his book end is done right.
