X3 and Origins were horrible
The Wolverine was decent at best

I think DOFP was mediocre, but even if I didn't, he didn't have much material to work with in it because of the storyline.

What an amazing Wolverine he is and always will be.
:lol

Never was, never will be.
He did a nice impression of Wolverine from time to time, that's all. And it's not his fault because only the first X-meh film had reasonably written Logan. Overall, cinematic Logan is a charming, good-looking redneck... That's not Wolverine.

Realistically he's done all he could do with the character.
Yep.
Jackman is an awesome actor so while he wasn't good for the role physically he could properly convey the essence of Wolverine if the character was properly written. He was stuck in this routine for fifteen years, there's no reason to prolong it.

Can't really argue against that because that's where we are with him, but any actor they get will probably just fall into the same cycle, at least HJ had great charisma even during his bad Wolverine movies.

Jackson is one of those actor's who, unfortunately, as perfect as he is for the role, has never had the material behind him to allow him to fully let loose, IMO (with minor exceptions here and there).

He's such a great Wolverine, but has been stuck in some bad to mediocre films. It sucks.

Yup, X1, X2, and DOFP were terrible, if only he had a chance to star in a great superhero film.

As far as post-Blade comic book movies go, I don't think anyone is more iconic than Jackman's Wolverine.

They need to just put him in the MCU. I don't care if they have to call him Francis.

This /\ :exactly:

RDJ Stark is the only one that can compete.

Although Evans is in the rear view mirror catching up to them!

Once he's finished, hopefully Fox can get Tom Hardy to replace him. I actually wouldn't mind a Marvel universe where Tom Hardy plays every superhero, he's perfect for so many roles.

"Post-Blade?" Why the qualifier? You think Snipes is a bigger icon than Jackman? Or did you mean post-Keaton?

Yeah, I meant Blade as the start of the "modern" era. I should have said Blade-forward.

Post Keaton works. :lol Although, those Henson Turtles are pretty effin' iconic....

Great question actually, mght as well go back to CR. :lol

But I think he meant what made CBM popular again after the Batman and Robin crash.

After MM I will made a decision if he's worthy. :lol

Question, do we think Apocalypse is aware of the Xmen in the new film? Also surely a powerful mutant like Apocalypse must've shown up through cerebro?? Can't wait to see this film already?

If Singer/Fox play their cards right, they are in a position to steal the Thanos "big baddie boss battle" thunder away from Marvel a full 2 years ahead of IW, even without having the expertly crafted build up that Marvel created.

I agree, Singer definitely might trump the Russo Bros with his big boss battle.

At we know Apcalypse will be taken seriously and there won't be any jokes. Thanos on the other hand might end up break dancing with Starlord or beat up for comic relief.
