A funeral maybe?

I'm not sure why they need umbrellas when Storm can control the weather.

Is Magneto dyeing his hair?

He must be around 60 in the 1990's?

The space aspect is definitely something the X-team were involved with pretty frequently.
Phoenix is a galactic entity, Starjammers, Lilandra and the Imperial Guard, the Brood.
Jean already has the Phoenix power. Unless new movie's goin' to make us believe that Jean had Phoenix in her since birth/childhood or that she's an alien offspring, I don't see how else can it make this whole situation feel like X-Men comic books.

You're overthinkin' it. Remember, this is a superhero movie.

Jean "dies" in the shuttle crash and is reborn as Phoenix in the comic, so maybe that's it. Storm with an umbrella is kind of funny.

It's true that the movies, Phoenix force seems like a mutant power and not a cosmic one. I'm just saying that the X-Men have lots of cosmic connections in the comics.

I'm not sayin' they don't have cosmic stories. :lol
I'm sayin' that the whole "X-Men are public heroes who go to space" feels very non-x-men-ish.

Yeah yeah cause Thor versus the hulk was so… Groundbreaking

It was garbage. Like 90% of the battles in the MCU = Completely meaningless.

I would have to agree with this.

Remove the Thor v Hulk fight in the arena and it wouldn’t change the movie any although they were trying to show that Hulk was happy as Hulk while Banner was afraid of staying as Hulk.

At least with AOU the Hulk vs Hulkbuster fight was there to support General Ross’s registration narrative.

But yeah Thor vs Hulk wasn’t given enough narrative attention.

No one ever claimed the MCU to be perfect.

Just like TDK and Logan weren’t perfect.

If the CBM genre is the NBA, TDK & Logan are Michael Jordan and LeBron James.

The best.

Yeah the dark knight is in a league of its own. That will probably forever go down as greatest superhero movie.

Yeah the dark knight and Logan are waaaayyy to good and universally loved not to have that strange backlash of being called overrated.

Which is funny because there's nothign super about Batman. I'll never understand why people can't just call these types of CB characters "vigilante". :lol

Yeah sorry but The Dark Knight is a superhero movie through and through .... batman is a superhero .... joker is a villain. Just like iron man is a superhero
