I just read that after the last screening someone said the movie had a Brady Bunch meets Dark Phoenix vibe.

Man, she is an AWFUL actress. She's hard to watch even in Game Of Thrones. The casting decisions are so bad in so many of these Fox X movies. And why does it still feel like a movie that was made back in the late 90's? It looks so outdated.

Disney is letting it release simply because they know it's so bad that it'll make it's fans want it to end and be rebooted by Feige and become part of the MCU.

The Fox X-Men are dead....Long live the X-Men.

With the current way the MCU is going, Feige's X-Men will be the modern version of the X-Men comic that's appalling old school X-Men fans.
It's a not-at-all subtle metaphor for the current hostile political climate. It's lead by the new version of Jean Grey who's now a progressive activist fighting the altright mutant haters with her mind control powers. She also brainwashed Bobby Drake to be gay.
And you think Brie Larson's Captain Marvel will be bad....

I've already come to terms with the MCU most likely slowly dying for me after End Game. The only thing I'm actually looking forward to and hoping they get right is a proper take on the Fantastic Four. With a then proper Dr. Doom, Galactus & Silver Surfer story line.

But, seeing as how Brie is said to be the face of the MCU going forward (according to Feige himself), I'm sure Cap Marvel will kick the Surfer's ass and stop Galactus all by her lonesome.

Bringing in a “Superman” level character into the MCU, male or female, would put the brakes on their long term plans which involves earning billions off hundreds of primary characters.

Marvel knows having a single end all be all powerful character, male or female, would hurt them financially.

Forget comic books they bring in peanuts compared to cinema don’t think what they do there automatically applies to how they handle their movie business.

I doubt captain marvel will be the face anymore. This was before marvel got there most iconic women characters back. They barely had any strong women characters so of course they had to make due with captain marvel.

Now they have storm, Jean grey, Sue Storm, and many more
