I doubt captain marvel will be the face anymore. This was before marvel got there most iconic women characters back. They barely had any strong women characters so of course they had to make due with captain marvel.

Now they have storm, Jean grey, Sue Storm, and many more

“-x-men are like Avengers status at the beginning of the film (which feels really unearned) -astronauts at risk of dying in space(literally the atmosphere not space) due to some cosmic waves

-x-men save them but jean gets hit by waves

-they return and she starts freaking out about her powers

-the movie begins with young jean getting in a car crash with her two parents. At this point after the rescue we find out that her powers were responsible and she feels guilty for killing her mother. We find out that her dad is still alive though so she escapes the mansion all emotional to go find him.

-when jean got hit by the cosmic rays she sent the spaceship flying into space and somehow it ****ing lands on an alien planet. The aliens look st the wreckage and go “**** it this means war. Let’s go get the phoenix force” that’s literally their whole motivation.

-jean finds her dad and she gets pissed that Charles lied to her about her parents being dead. But Charles lied because her dad didn’t want her anymore. When she finally realizes all of this she almost kills her dad but the x men come to save her. She is really edgy at this point.

-she kills mystique by accident

-beast gets all mad because he loved her.

-beast goes to find magneto for help to defeat jean

-charles takes the rest of the team to get to jean before the aliens and beast/magneto can

-movie is so boring I’m sorry of this isn’t the best description but the movie ends with a cgi battle and its not very exciting because the aliens look boring and have generic levitation powers (they do shape shift into humans but they LOOK NOTHING LIKE SKRULLS AND THE WORD SKRULL IS NEVER SAID)

-there is an alien invasion and jean flies into space and gives up all her powers to destroy the fleet. The end”

They made a Predators of the X-Men franchise!

Lol and they could’ve just ended on s high note instead of being complete idiots. Why make TWO films that end the xmen film franchise? Both good and bad endings that closed the door to what they made. So instead they are going to end what they started with a half baked cash grab before marvel comes and takes it away and reboots the way fans want it.

You can so tell JLaw is phoning in her performance, just in the few seconds before she's "killed". It's a shame the franchise is ending on such a bad note. But, like a phoenix rising from the ashes, the franchise will begin a new with MCU.

For me these 2 trailers have their own set of goals.

XDP: A delayed movie with massive reshoots that is a remake meant to end a series. The trailer even shows the death of a main character by another main character that Xavier is trying to contain.

CM: A movie about a main character that is meant to create a new set of characters and also one that Fury is trying to unleash. By design the trailer is super secretive because of Endgame.

XDP reminded me of X3 and if anything the X3 trailers were actually spectacular and far superior than this XDP trailer so there’s that as well.

Seriously go back and watch those X3 trailers freaking amazing.

I thought the last two were entertaining, more like X-teen than X-men however.

I think part of what I don't really like, is that the new younger cast series always has felt like it has written the character of Mystique around Jennifer Lawrence's popularity.

After first class for sure. She was Katniss delivering 25 minute long speeches. I still like first class and days of future past but apocalypse was a waste and phoenix looks like more of the same. At least about half of the movies have been really good though.
