Just Mystique as seen in the trailer lol

Jean becomes the phoenix in space just above earth at the very end, spoiled in trailers, and disappears so she’s only full phoenix for about 10 seconds but more on that in a minute.

The whole alien subplot was really bad although Chastain did a good job at being creepy and sexy with her pale skin but even she was just one note.

Beast takes control of the school and last scene is Magneto and Charles in that european cafe sitting at a small table joking with each other then it pans up to the clear blue sky and you can see the phoenix far in the distance fly across the sky fades to black I **** you not lol

There was no single big WOW moment like there was in EG or KOTM.

There were some smaller contained cool moments but the motivations behind those moments would instantly pull me out of the experience instead of letting me enjoy them.

There was a side character mutant who’s power was his dreadlocks yes nothing is wrong with your eyes you read that correctly lol

The movie is super slow and talky.

Cyclops has got nothing on fat Thor, Cap or IM.

The action is better than Trank F4 though so it’s got that going for it.

Was a complete chore to get through. It was visually nice to look at but x3 did it better and that’s not saying much. The xmen had some good scenes but they don’t say a whole lot .

Btw mystique is completely useless as an X-Men. There is a reason she is a villain. So she can manipulate with her shapeshifting.

Yes it was done well but I’m at that point where it’s to late . I’m just not impressed and I loved that night crawler scene but afterwards I’m just like “ damn I can’t wait to see him in the mcu”

I don’t know I’m just done with Fox men. I’m pretty sure storm has the power to lift that train up herself if they ultilized her better.

Bingo that’s the key component and what some people don’t understand.

We love all of those characters now let Marvel remove their restraints and finally unleash them.

Singular isolated good character moments do not make great XM that just doesn’t cut it anymore.

X-Women lecture came from because in the scene she was referring to Nightcrawler, Quickspeed, Cyclops and Beast did most of the work joined later by Jean at the end of the mission so 4 men and 1 female and it wasn’t even Mystique!

Stupidest line I’ve heard considering she just sat in the chair and watched the others do everything. Storm just sits back quietly most of the time. Just a stupid line to gain tumblr favor.

Atleast villain mystique ****ing knows how to fight and is cunning. This mystique is completely useless

I did the same. And there’s not much to spoil. Here’s a fun exercise: go read the Wikipedia plot summary of this movie, then go read the plot summary for Infinity War. Makes Dark Phoenix sound like it was written by a high school English student.

Such a terrible movie. I lost count of how many other movies it tried to crib from. I also have to wonder how one writer gets two cracks at this story and fails both times? So glad Fox will no longer be making X-Men movies.
