I would check out Chronicles. I think it's OK. Interesting effort, but never came close to the quality of Riddick. Too much fantasy.

I think Chronicles is great, I think the problem it suffers from is that it went from Riddick which was action/space horror to Chronicles which was Space Opera, I think the leap just was too jarring. I actually liked the Yeti Riddick on Hoth at the beginning of Chronicles, then it just went....

Well, I just saw the post-credits (or mid credits) scene after the Wolverine.

I was hoping that Last Stand was erased and X-Men: Days of Future's Past rebooted it and was just following X-Men, X2 and First Class. But nope, they're totally going to go with the angle that Professor X, Cyclops and Jean Grey all died and that crazy **** happened.

Didn't Magneto lose his powers? Didn't Professor X turn to dust? I mean, it might kill this film if they have to explain that "oh, Magneto never lost his powers" or "Professor X had a secret, brain dead twin brother that Charles put his mind into" or some other crazy *** ****. Why not just erase X-Men 3 from existence? Who cares?

That kind of tainted this project for me. I was hoping Last Stand wasn't "canon", especially with this time travel stuff.


I liked the Trask/Sentinel reference though. But all this is further evidence of how poor Cyclops/Scott Summers got the shaft.

- Film 1, pretty cool guy, Wolverine overshadows him though

- Film 2, spends most of the film being under some kind of mind control

- Film 3, KILLED, OBLITERATED, NEVER SEEN AGAIN

- Film 4, a stupid kid, why was he in there again? Oh that's right, for that Deadpool guy to have cool laser beam powers

- Film 5, his bro, the stupid one that shoots laser beams out of his chest, takes his place

- Film 6, his woman is a main plot point to a Wolverine story. Turns out that Jean Grey was Wolverine's woman, not Cyclops

- Film 7, EVERYONE but Cyclops is in this stinking movie

You explained Xaviers return, though Phoenix could've easily Teleported them elsewhere which i'd prefer.

C'mon, I bet you were hoping that X3 was erased from the continuity too. I'm just a bit disappointed that this film will follow that story and that they'll have to take time with those crazy stupid explanations.
