An reworking of Jim Lee's Uncanny X-Men costume would work for me, which is probably why I like the suits from First Class so much.

For the love of humanity, why are there so many leg belts????

I have learned to loathe Jim Lee's designs over the years. But both these, and the First Class costumes are really throwbacks in a way to the original X-costumes, so I appreciate that they were getting a nod, anyway.

The comics costumes work great for the comics, but on-screen, too rainbowy imo and especially for this movie considering they're in hiding.

Not really, but the music gave alot of gravitas to it imo. Was really bleak, which fits the source. Storm looked terrified, at what is probaby a Sentinel.

Especially for the more bright and fantastic looking characters like Spider-Man.

Having lots of bright yellow, green, often sleeveless costumes all together, women in thong suits and kneehigh boots ect..

Avengers had Cap and Iron Man in colourful costumes, rest were quite demure, mostly dark blacks and blues.

And many found Caps to be quite dorky and too bright.

There's plenty of belts and buckles in the new movie by the way.
The reason artists like to use leg and arm belts is that it helps give a stronger three dimensional form to the limbs from the ellipses that they create in perspective.

Just had another watch.

I'd say it feels more like an extended teaser than a full trailer.

It sets up that the original cast is back, a few new younger mutants join the ranks, they are in a bleak future with something they fear, something so bad they have to go to the past to prevent it. Does all that well.
