X-Men FC was better than expected but this just seems like a step backwards towards X3. No bitterness about it, though. It just doesn't look anywhere near as polished and credible as say Winter Soldier, and I'm not even a Cap fan.

I'm giving this flick the benefit of the doubt. Singer's first offering was decent, and, for a while there, before the Nolan/MCU era, Spider-Man 2 and X2 were widely regarded as some of the best comic book movies ever made, outside of the classics like Batman 89 and Reeve Superman. Even after that, there has only been one bad X-Men movie, and the other just being stupendously mediocre. Point is: this franchise still has potential.

I'm only giving it a chance because I want it to be good. I expect to end up with one hand full of wishes. Not looking forward to what my other hand will be full of.

Di$ney Marvel Fanboys are even bashing other Marvel flicks. :lol

Trailer was alright. Flick looks about on par with First Class. I hope they explain how Charles is in his old body.

I thought the trailer was as underwhelming as it could be. It looks like a trailer for Wolverine 3. Plus Bryan Singer is directing again. Ugh, I hae that guy. I'll go see it, but I'm not optimistic. I think First Class was by far the best X-Men movie because it had character development.

How was it Wolverine 3, Did you not notice the other 8+ characters?

I can't stop watching this trailer! The last time I felt such heavy drama from a superhero movie was TDK.

This movie might just top TDK as my all time favourite superhero movie.

I know some of you felt that this is not a proper sequel to First Class but it is. Majority of the movie takes place in the 70s and I heard the old cast have relatively short shorting period (Patrick Steward only shot for a week or something and Halle Berry a few days)

Indeed. Drama > 'splosions

We have no idea what's so horrible about the present that Wolverine has to go back. Just a bunch of shots of different people cowering here and there.

It's left to the imagination, rather than spoiling it 6 months before the movie comes :wink1:

I love how the bitterness flows through some Freaks here in the movie forums. :lol :lol :lol

:exactly:

Nolan/MCU haven't changed that imo.

:lol Is that even possible. If Disney had Spiderman and the xmen licenses then the Avengers would be one hell of a crowded movie.:lol Spiderman and wolverine would be the main focus and make the most cameos in the marvel movies.

The "dallas" explantion. The Last stand was nothing more than a cheese-overdose induced bad dream, expierenced by Cyclops.

Or, there is the fact that his contiousness woke up in his Brain dead Twin's body on Mora Mctaggert's island post credits in X3.

I kinda like the marvel pictures movies more becuase they're not around, for those exact reasons.

That said, I'd like to see them get rolled into the greater marvel movie universe eventually.

Shush. :thwak

I don't understand how a franchise as awesome as X-Men can be made to be this excruciatingly boring. I have tried hard to like these movies, and I still haven't given up on this, but damn. It ain't easy.

Two words: Brian Singer.

From the way she's controrted i'd say they're right and Mystique's hands are shackled

Others have excelled with a number of those areas and provided great movies, but i can't think of one that combined them all and balanced them as well as X2 & SM2.

- just a reminder that we haven't seen any sentinel action yet. If that sucks we're in trouble.

They should have cosplayers doing their work for them. From what little is seen of them, it seems "amateurs" do better work on Blink and Bishop makeup.

As excited as I am to see this generational teamup, theres some things that just look cringeworthy. :monkey2

Glad to see DaCosta in there, he was my favorite New Mutant, wouldn't have ven realized that was him (even though hes casted well) if they hadn't mentioned it on that Rewind theatre thing.

I love those two films, but I thought Iron Man wasup to that level as well. The first one.

Loved Avengers too. Thought it was pretty much a homerun.
