As I said earlier, I am looking forward to this film, but despite Nova & his brotherhood of moot-ants defending the kahkah aesthetic - the promo looks pretty uninspiring.

I've not defended anything, just posted them and not hated

I don't think anyone who has posted in this thread has been pleased with all of the costume designs - even Nova.

Though I think "Brotherhood" is a great term to describe a certain group of people who continuously trash-talk a movie they already know they won't like.

Here's Bobby with a beard

I see what Fox is doing... they are trying to make this movie look bigger and more epic than the Avengers and it's even apparent by them announcing the sequel already. It may or may not work out for them, but they sure do have a lot of outstanding actors in the film. Hopefully Bryan Singer doesn't ruin it.

Even though, I don't think the X-men movies make that much money do they?

he looks like a homeless person :lol
they all kind of do

Finally, a decent design. I'd prefer him bulked-up to inhuman proportions (and I am partial to the banded-metal skin Colossus traditionally sports), but still, that's pretty good. So, one out of twenty-five. Let's hope future Sentinel makes it two.

Looks like a mash-up of a Sentinel and the Phalanx. Pretty huge too.

WHAT THE #@#$!!!!!!!!

I never thought we would see a Sentinel that makes the one in X3's Danger Room look good.

that is what I hate about it the most.

they already had an okay head for the sentinels.... why change? just for the sake of change

Im getting a Nimrod vibe from it. With all those panels I bet it can re-configure it self to 'heal'.

They're gonna have a helluva tough time taking down this beast.

This new sentinel looks like he could destroy the X3 in seconds :lol

From what I understand, it can reconfigure its arms into different weapons as well. I don’t know if the whole body can but it looks like it.

As for the design of this future Sentinel, inside the magazine we have an interview with production designer John Myhre who explains their look. Here's a little of what he had to say. "They're biomechanical weapons. We had to come up with what would be the ultimate version that could actually, in principle, stop the X-Men. We started with this idea that they were almost made up of magnetic plates slapped over one another, imagining that the plates could contract or grow, so the Sentinel can be skinny to get through a small space or the plates can open up to become a bigger shape. So they have become virtually unstoppable."
