Ahhh... back to the good ol' days of obvious invisible cable harness action. LOL.

Decided to watch that Wolverine/Beast scene...
I hope this is not how most of the movie goes, had enough of this cringeworthy borefest.

That scene was pretty funny!

Glad they're not giving the whole movie away in the trailers like they have with ASM 2.

:exactly:

Beast's leap at the end was a crazy poor looking practical effect. Like early 2000's wire work.

Yeah, I'm not seeing how that was "obviously fake", or "crazy poor", but then again I don't irrationally hate this franchise. His leap lasted for a whole second if not less, and it was not nearly as bad as you are making it out to be.

I thought the dialogue between them was well done and more interesting than what we saw of the fight, shocked that you guys didn't comment on that, or the excellent clip with Charles and Magneto. :rolleyes2

Glad I'm not the only one who found it suspicious that not many members here had something to say on the that scene, instead they decided to focus on a 2 second leap that looked just fine. I guess it shows how good the movie is turning out when they start reaching.

Or maybe I figured I'd spare you the same **** you've heard all along. This movie looks awful in every imaginable way and all of the costumes suck etc. Jackman and Singer are probably both done with this franchise so this all feels even more unnecessary. The CGI in the Avengers knock off scene(Singer stole the Avengers money shot for his little trope of who cares mutants) compared to the practical Beast effects are jarring. More so since Beast doesn't even look the same. Dinger just comes in and changes whatever cannon he wants after he walked away from it to begin with. The pick and choose thing is pretty arrogant considering how bad his last retcon attempt went.

Watching Michael Fassbender in regular civilian clothes argue on a plane with Charles who has a full head of hair and can walk about events we already saw play out. How completely not exciting at all. If this was a Spiderman you people would be losing your minds about how generic everything looks but for whatever reason you eat this nonsense up. This looks marginally better than TMNT which is nothing to get excited about.

So uh .. you going to watch it or no? :lol

Jackman and Singer are probably both done with this franchise so this all feels really unnecessary.

So basically you're saying you wanted to complain about something, but you had enough respect to not complain about the usual, so you found something new to complain about, even though it's not a big deal.

The scene with Charles and Erik was intense, it doesn't need action to be exciting, the acting looks like it's going to be phenomenal. I'm glad these films are actually utilizing their actor's talents and not just their names, something you don't get often from comic book films these days.

I've been a defender of the Webb series for a while now, I don't feel the need to just rip another franchise apart because my franchise gets ripped on.

Who cares if Charles has hair? He didn't have hair in FC either, and that movie turned out great, besides we know eventually he's going to lose it. Erik is in regular clothes is a problem now to? We know he will be rocking his suit later on. Sounds like a ton of nitpicking to me.

Jackman is doing Wolverine 3 and now people are complaining Singer is done with the franchise? Seems like we're complaining about things that have nothing to do with DOFP.

I'll see it because I enjoyed Vaugn's First Class and the cast. Fassbender is a huge talent but I have zero faith in pedo Singer and his retcon arrogance vision of a future he probably won't be around to see happen. It just feels like he's a kid who had a temper tantrum, "NO I GET TO CRIPPLE CHARLES NOT VAUGN!" "NO, X3 DIDN'T HAPPEN BECAUSE I WASN'T AROUND!" Everything about this movie is a step backwards including the lack of comic book looking characters and Sentinels or poor adaptation of an iconic story for the sake of drawing more attention to a well known title.

You've brainwashed yourself into believing this looks intense or amazing. It doesn't. And even I admitted the shortcomings of ASM2 and only gave it a 7/10. It wasn't as good as the first.

I've already answered everything else above, too much of this movie is Singer's ego trying to right a ship he already abandoned. His vision for future movies don't matter since he's unlikely to be around for them.
