Magneto was straight up frightening in this movie.

I liked it that after all the tough talk from Wolverine in the plane scene, "you going to pick that stuff up", Magneto was the one who picked him up and threw him straight across the city like a rag doll.

Who's picking stuff up now *****. :lol

Yup, Wolverine can kick some mobsters ass, that's about it though. :lol

Yup, Origins obviously was the only movie that got no reference, and was the only movie they didn't try to tie in with DOFP.

I might be wrong, but I could have sworn that when Charles was viewing all of the "pain" Logan went through, they showed the scene from Origins when Victor stepped on and broke his bone claws.

It's definitely up there for me at the moment. I will have to watch it again on DVD to make sure, but DOFP may be my top live action comic movie at this point, edging out X2 and Batman Begins. I was also a bit put off with the costumes, but Singer proved they aren't very important when you make a great movie.

I've watched it 4 times so far, each time I enjoyed it more than the last. After my first viewing I had it tied with X2, but now I have it ahead.

Overall, I still have Nolan's Batman films ahead of everything, followed by DOFP then X2.

I'm kindof bummed out that if DOFP had been about 15 mins longer, with one mind blowing future wolverine action scene, and just a few more snippets of character motivation stuff for Mystique and Trask, DoFP would edge out X2 and take the nr 3 spot for me. As a CB film it'd probably have topped BB for me even.

It's honestly hard to accept as they're a few very simple things that could've EASILY fit into this 2:10 hour film without screwing up the pacing too much.

Nolan Bat trilogy is the upper crust of comic movies- then IM, Avengers, Cap 2, XMFC and this one

:exactly:

nothing that can't easily be fixed with an extended cut.

first future Sentinel battle Wolverine uses his great looking set of claws.

I'd have never thought you'd once give my post an :exactly: Jye.:lol

What I'd love is if Adamantium was the one material the sentinels couldn't recreate, as X1 shows Mystique can't either, so Future WOlverine could've been the ONLY one to actually completely take down a sentinel solo.

If Singer had put that in DoFP I would've gone nuts.

Then you're the one who deserves a 'wtf' dude.;) (Na JK, plenty of reasons to haven't seen a film yet.)

Is it not out yet in Mos Eisley? I bet the distribution there sucks.

They should have just put Wolverine in the beginning Sentinel fight so we could have got some nice action from him, but I guess Singer wanted to do the old cast coming out of the jet instead, which also worked for me.

What you just described there would've been an insane level of bad ass.

Especially in that outfit, which, although invisible in the film, actually had yellow stripes on the side.

I guess it's not social to take this as a sig for a while...:(?

Also, I think I switched to 'powers I'd most like to have' to Blink's. Effing hell that **** beats Nightcrawler teleporting man.

It's so brutal to me how in that opening shot you see those people being led in camps and bodies everywhere and I'm like 'naaa, this is too much, this is unrealistic, people would never let it get this far' and then a split second later I'm like 'oh wait....' and I realise it ****ing happened FOR REAL, less than a hundred years ago...

...No words, just no words... So bizarrely horrible.

I love how Vaughn and Singer have truly gone all out in the depiction of WWII-mirroring scenes. So powerful to put that content into material that will reach this widespread audiences.

Hey folks one other small thing, in the beginning Logan asks 'What do you mean you were never there' after they remeet.

Is that supposed to imply that Wolverine, Storm, Xavier and Magneto have been able to survive WITHOUT Kitty's time travel? Cause I wanna see THAT action man.

I want one sequence where it's WOlverine, STorm, Magneto and Xavier actually defeating the future sentinels to meet up with Kitty n co in the beginning.

EDIT: Well I guress we get storm and magneto to some degree, and Xavier is not that interesting action wise, so I guess it's back down to missing future wolverine action.:9

Yeah but he just makes funny stuff, and I've never spoken to him... Feels kinda rude to just request something via PM. I can't find a DoFP picture with the combination of people on it I want in my sig.:lol (Thanks for the tip though.)
