Re: Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past

The other films have had their share of "blink and you miss them" characters. This film will have a few as well.

It would be sweet if he did play him though. The animated series' version of this storyline was awesome.

Halle Berry: 'I'm In' For X-Men: Days Of Future Past

Access Hollywood – 2 hours 27 minutes ago
After months of speculation regarding whether Halle Berry will reprise her role as Storm in the upcoming "X-Men: Days of Future Past," the actress tells Access Hollywood she's in.

"I'm in. I think I'm in," the actress told AccessHollywood.com's Laura Saltman, when asked if she is 100 percent going to appear in the Bryan Singer-directed Marvel mutant movie, at the junket for her new thriller, "The Call," in Los Angeles on Saturday.

Out of the dozens of characters the Oscar-winning actress has played, Halle said mutant Storm/Ororo Munroe is one of her all-time favorites.

"I am [excited], yeah," she said, when asked if she's looking forward to donning her superhero duds again. "I love Storm. That's one of my favorite characters that I've played. And people love that character as well."

While playing the cloudy-eyed, weather-controlling mutant requires quite a bit of time in the makeup chair, Halle said no role could be more exhausting in the physical transformation department than her recent reincarnation film alongside Tom Hanks.

"After 'Cloud Atlas' any makeup job is a breeze. A breeze!" she said with a laugh.

:yess: :blissy

Look - I know she's got her head up her @$$ half the time, & there was that incident a while back with the hit & run thing.. but I still love her as Storm. :huh :lol
My only other choices ultimately for the role, would be Rosario Dawson or Zoe Saldana. :love

Re: Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past

I'm so happy she's officially back. It would have felt incomplete without her.

Re: Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past

She's a good actress. She occasionally does crappy films for the paycheck, but even Gene Hackman used to do that.

Storm was poorly written in X3, but this was to be expected in a film full of dumb crap.

Is she officially back in though? Why would she say she "thinks" she is in?

Zero surprise to me that she would accept if offered. It isn't like she has filmmakers knocking down her door nowadays.

I thought she was fine in the previous films, but to be honest she wasn't very much like Storm in the comics to me. In the comics, she is elegant, strong willed, and very much in tune with the earth/nature/etc. She's always looking for an opportunity to toss off her clothes and fly around blissfully in the rain. She had leadership capabilities that other members didn't have, and proved that she could hold her own even without powers. She just came across in the films as. . .a nice person. Not all that distinctive otherwise to me. They never explored her claustrophobia, or that I can recall, her upbringing as a thief and then goddess in Africa. Hell, she may not even be from Africa in the movies, she certainly has no noticeable accent.

Maybe they covered some of this in X3, that I don't remember as I never saw the film after watching it at the theaters. But even if they did, that movie is the equivalent of bad fan fiction that I choose to ignore.

But man oh man those boobs in Monster's Ball.

It certainly gave me Monster *****. :lol

She could be from Detroit Michigan with those knockers! :lol

Wait, what were you saying about comic accuracy and her noble upbringing. :lol

Bryan Singer confirmed Halle on his twitter :rock

She did the best she could do with the character, IMO. Any faults were due to the writing and direction. I personally enjoyed her in X3. I was pretty bummed they seemed to cut out her big power-scene in the final fight.

Hopefully she will kick some Sentinel *** in this one! :rock

Karamazov - I detected a slight accent at the beginning of X1.. but it disappeared after that. :lol

Here's hoping she sports a white Mohawk. It'll certainly give the impression time having passed significantly.

If there's one thing the X-Movies are best at it's having female superheroes that aren't weak.

That would be just plain awful.. sorry. :lol

In the comics - fine, but seeing that beautiful woman sport a wacky 'doo' just to satisfy a niche.. all kinds of terrible. :monkey4 :lol

Re: Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past

Pretty much all of the originals are back for the future scenes now.

I hope Cyclops and Nightcrawler finish off the future timieline cast.

I wonder if they'll be introducing young versions of some of the classic characters in the Fc timeline.

Re: Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past

I never liked her as storm. Sure she's beautiful, but she played storm without the strength I associate with the character. And by strength I mean strength of character, bravery and intensity.

I always pictured Angela Bassett as Storm. She may be too old now though.
