Interesting. Since Magneto's surname is Lensherr in the movie i hope and wonder how they'll make Quicksilver his Son.

Scratch that. Magneto doesn't go by Maximoff in the comics, mostly Magneto but he has a bunch of different names.

1. they Ratner it and they just act like they aren't related and just use the characters unconnected.

2. 70's Fassbender bangs some bar whore in a one night stand and then Gandalf somehow reunites with his kids in the present.

anyways, those are my theories. :lol

It would be cool to tie the past to the present by having Magnetos son born in the past segments and meeting him in the future timeline.

Either way apparently some Mutant destruction is going down in Paris

Really hope they make Quicksilver his son. It's easy just make his mother unknown and have Magneto acknowledge him as his son who was born at a time when he was fighting for mutant supremecy and couldn't raise him.

Maybe they will just ignore the family relation, the same way that they ignored Juggernaut's relation to Xavier in X-men 3.

.....

The children of Magneto go a LOOONG way to shaping the person Eric becomes.

Wanda and Pietro Maximoff Are the children of Eric Lensher (Magneto), and His wife Magda. he TRUELY loved Magda, so I hope they don't **** all over that. They Met In Auschwitz, And Escaped together.
They had a Daughter together named Anya, whom dies in a fire at an inn near Wundagore Mt. While the inn is burning, Eric is getting arresseted on charges of assult. He had lost his temper earlier. He screams for someone to help his daughter while she burns to death. Anya eventualy hurls herslef from a window to escape teh flames... but still dies. This causes Magneto to break.. and his powers rage. he uses them to wreak havoc amongs teh men arresting him, and the crowd. killing people, and screaming that they deserve it for not helping his child.
You see, at this time, Magneto dosn't really have controll of his powers, nor is really all that aware of them.. untill now.

Magda is terrified of what she sees, claiming He's not tehe man she married, etc etc. Not becuase of the powers, but becuase of the sheer brutality of his assult.

Magda runs off, abandoning Eric, as a broken man. She was already pregnant at this time, AND had not told him. She flees, eventualy ending up on Wondugore Mt, where she has the twins, and raises them under what is believed to be her Maiden name, Maximoff.

YEARS later, MAgneto does have a 1 night stand with another woman. Though this is long after he already is Magneto, and Polaris is the offspring from that union.

Possibly, hope they don't though. And if they don't you just know Marvel Studio fanboys will complain ad nauseum about it

If it was one of those things that didn't matter a whole lit, they could ignore it, and it would be fine. Though, the events leading up to the birth of the Maximoff twins are important to the character development of Magneto.

The only reason for leaving it out would be complete lazyness.

It would be similar to doing a spiderman story without any mention anywhere of Uncle Ben.

Or A batman story where Bruce's parrents are still alive.

Without those moments of tragedy, they don't become who they become.

Doing a full backstory for the would take too long, could be a movie all in of itself. i don't imagine Magda will be someone he loves more like a one night stand.

It'd be a shame i agree but it'd be like a Cable movie, to do that right you'd have to have Scott and Jean married then she dies and he marries Madelyn Pryor then he Cable is born given the techno-organic virus and sent to the future where he grows in all sorts of future wars.

It's simply too much to do across one movie that's not directly about Magneto best we can hope for is a scene showing that they are related, ideally a few scenes.

Not at all. We don't need to SEE those events. A simple

" your mother was someone VERY special to me.... but we parted ways before i knew she was pregnant with you... we parted on a bad note too.." would cover it.

Yeah that could work fine.

I thought you meant show him in love and with Magda in the 70's part.

They should've done a simple Charls saying "Hello Cain" or "Hello Brother" to Juggernaut with him making an angry walk toward him in X3 with Magneto scolding him and telling him "Not now"

By all means, let's keep randomly throwing stuff at the movie screen until we accidentally create a cohesive cinematic universe like Marvel's.

I liked Avengers as much as the next person, but in all seriousness: Why does it all have to be connected? I just want entertaining well told stories featuring characters i like. I could care less if this is all tied together. I hate events in comics because they try to shoehorn in characters who have no business being involved. Just make good films. If you want them to have a through line fine, but that should never be mandatory.

It's a bit late for continuity now.

Not really, check the timeline thread i made. Most of the issues can be explained away.

:exactly: :goodpost:

Also being free from one another allows movie set in different timelines like XFC

I really don't think that it needs to be connected--but if you have already made several movies without attempting to have continuity, then you should just forget about it. Trying to make it all cohesive several years later because you want some Marvel dollars is not the way to go about building your cinematic universe.
