The Time travel aspect of the plot sounds good. It's the way they are going about it that sounds lame.

Time travel was a fresher plot device when the original story was written but what's worse is that Kitty now has the power somehow.

This movie sounds awful. I would love to be proven wrong, since this is the only First Class "sequel" it looks like I'm going to get, but from everything I've read I agree with those who say it sounds like a train wreck.

The TimeTravel / Kittys powers WILL BE EXPLAINED. She'll probably use her powers in tandem with some others to make it work. JUST LIKE THE COMIC

In the Comic she doesn't travel back in time in the traditional sense she (with help) has her mind travel back and take over her past self. Since there's no past self for Kitty in the 70's, it makes sense for Wolverine since he is the only X-Man usable in the '70s that isn't a part of the events (Prof X, Beast & Havok)

At least the whole cast isn't going back in time.

Do people really expect Wolverine not to be featured heavily?

He's the most popular and well known X-Men Character.

It's no different than Iron Man taking the lead in Avengers, people were saying Avengers 2 wouldn't be a real Avengers movie without him there (taking the spotlight). If Wolverine wasn't featured people would be *****ing that he wasn't there

He was perfectly fine being absent in First Class, outside of that awesome cameo.

It's just kinda lame they took a pretty cool movie, with new, interesting characters, and shoved them all away in favor of a character who just got his own movie again.
