I really like the PS4s sleek design and how small it is! I wish i had a place on my TV stand to display it, unfortunately its gotta hide in the cabinet.

anyone else miss the spiderman font?

more space = less heat

It has a really big heatsink/cooler too (by console standards):

I don't think overheating will be a problem this time.

that's a good thing

Yes, it is.

Hopefully, it won't sound like a chainsaw when that fan is running full blast.

Nothing will ever beat the jet-engine roar of my pc, so no worries for me when it comes to console noise. I'm used to it.

In my PC at least it seems the smaller the fan, the noisier it is.

That is because smaller fans usually spin at higher revolutions than larger fans. Faster spinning = more noise.

I'm not really sure how big the fan is on the Xbox One. Looks between 90mm - 120mm. Might not be very loud at all.

the gears 3 360 version barely makes a sound. this will probably be just as quiet. but yeah, the old white sounded like a fighter jet taking off :lol

My 60 gig PS3 is noisier than my current (Halo 4) 360. I just know some of these fans can be stupid noisy.

I can't be the only one who thinks this whole trade in thing is a smart business move on MS part? I don't condone it, im not a fanboy (i've pre ordered both). Lets face it devs don't like trade in, so with the opportunity xbox has given them to possibly prevent the sale of used games who are devs more likely to chose?. Sony where they have the chance to lose money? or xbox with the chance to retain it?.

I don't get why everyone is *****ing about the whole Online check in either. Nearly everyone has an internet connection yes yes i know some don't but still If my net happens to go down and i can't check in for a day :horror shocker, i'll browse on my PC, play my ps4 or hell if im feeling adventurous i can even visit that strange place called the outside world.

the only dev it really benefits is EA with all of their yearly sports games

It's difficult to say, because until the thing actually launches, it's hard to gauge how the larger (casual) audience will react to it. How much do people outside of the core gaming enthusiast crowd (those who follow E3 news and talk about this stuff on forums, like you or me) actually care about Microsoft's new policies? The used game policy is just one part of a larger, interconnected web of a policy, where internet connection is mandatory at least once a day, and not only will be there restrictions on trading in games, but for lending, borrowing, and renting as well.

If Xbox One loses potential sales because of these policies, what does publisher support even matter? Not to mention all those retail stores that do sell used games, who do you think they'll side with?

ps3 had a bad cabinet design that trapped the heat in with barely any inlets. the inlets would clog and thesystem would get hottest to where the 2nd fan mode would run all the time. this also lead to the small layer of thermal paste to be useless. this is why the YLOD happened. i reded the thermal paste cleaned the whole unit out and i left the lid off. you can barely hear it and it always runs cool. maybe xbox had the same problem. the went with form over function. if both systems were aerated properly wed have way less broken units. it seem most of the board problems on the 360 could have been avoided by cooler temps. this is coming from a tech geek who fixes everything.

the old 360's didn't really have the vents in the right place. the latest 360's the vents are right there in the meat of the console

True that. 120's should be fine.

When it comes to their no used games, it is ridiculas. I buy something l should have the right to own it, and do what l want with it. Why can't people understand that concept? It's a restriction to us, and a cash grab for them.If they get away with this then movies will be the same thing in the future, and that is bull. I want to buy the disc and own it, and do as l please with it.

When it comes to HAVING to check into the internet, that is just another stupid concept that their is no need for, i don't like being forced to do something in order to play my games single player. I like having my system offline and just play single player games. My ethernet cable for the past year has been plugged into my Blu ray Player, not my Xbox, it would be a pain to have to switch that cable back and forth all the time just to play offline games.

So again **** MS and their Stupid console.

Fully agree.

I want to know what corporate rep thought the restrictions was a good idea and convinced everyone to go with it?
