Gamescom is in August, most likely the Xbox Team will explain some stuff, and maybe have some surprises.

I Applaud Microsoft for trying to correct the big mistake that ruined the Xbox Image, and if there is any event to do so it'll be Gamescom.

I don't applaud Microsoft for anything regarding the Xbox1.
They basically tried to get us to bend over. Luckily, most of us clenched our cheeks and told them to jerk themselves off.

Still, I haven't striked their console out completely.
I'm still debating which next gen console to get first.

Sounds like you've already decided

LOL!! Yeah, sounds like it. :lol

The only Playstation I've owned is the very first one (grey clamshell PS).
I passed on the PS2 and PS3 in favor of the Xbox and Xbox360.
At this point, Microsoft is making it easy to jump ship. But I'm going to keep my options open until more info is released.

So you're still willing to give them a happy ending ?

theres a new rumor going around that microsoft will hold a press conference to reintroduce xbox one and better explain it and lower the price to 400 and anounce release date its in nov just not sure what day. I preordered the day 1 edition first day it went up but if its lowered to 400 that would be awesome.

I got an email from amazon today about the release date for ryse. november 27th

I tend to agree at this point. I've decided I'll get an Xbox one once it drops Kinect, loses $100 and redesigns the box...

So never? The others might happen sooner (price drop) or later (redesign)but Kinect isn't going anywhere. I'm no fan of the Kinect requirement, but I'm not going to miss a consoles entire generation because of it. As long as I'm not required to use it in games, it's just a nuisance IMO.

Yeah, I don't see them dropping it. And I hope they don't. While there's no compelling reason to pay extra for it at the moment, there will be in the future and it will be important that they can assure developers that all the owners have the Kinect.

I'd like to see Kinect added to the pile of ETs games in the dessert, but I know it's here to stay. They've invested too much into it for them to ever abandon it. I just hope MS never requires the use of it by developers and in turn, the gamer. As long as it's a separate entity with games, I can deal with it.

Of course there will be games that require it, but I wouldn't see something like say Halo only working with Kinect, instead you'll see games specifically designed for it.

I like Kinect if only for that it's a cool tool for people to mess with to create things like a 3D scanner or motion capture tools. It's nice that a large company like Microsoft can be developing it because it means that it's cool technology for cheap.

You misunderstood. Thats what I meant by "separate entity". Kinect games and real games. They can make all the garbage Kinect games they want, but please keep it away from the good games I want. No gimmicks tacked onto normal games please. I always hated when first party PS3 games ocassionally forced me to use that stupid sixaxis feature. I can see developers being pressured into adding stuff like that with MS pushing it so hard and knowing that everyone has it.

Imagine what Halo could do with it. You could make custom "full body" taunts for your player during multiplayer matches. Heck, you could do custom motions at all times during matches including "go over there" motions or "GO **** YOURSELF" motions.

microsoft seems like a teen who's mom just caught him masturbating and ever since he's trying to make excuses like he was just changing etc.... and i own a 360 and did tourneys so im a fanboy and im not liking what they are doing at all, even with the fixes

Redesign of the box. :lol

Who sits and looks at their console? I just hit the power button on the controller.

Might as well get rid of your cable box, bluray player ect cause all that stuff looks the same. :lol

Teabaging! :horror
