Just unboxed the controller and play and charge kit. Can't say much on functionality yet but as far as looks go I still prefer my 360 controllers, which I have three of...two blue/clear Halo 4 ones, and 1 red Tomb Raider controller.

Sure wish this batch of XB1 controllers didn't have the shiny, glossy black plastic at the top....just looks cheap and gets scratched up too easily. Oh well, sure more options will come out shortly that will be all matte.

Better games than PS4 at launch

Negatives:
Hard Drive left with 360gb after Windows 8.
Horrible game load speeds, slower than PS4.
Long set up time.
720p games.
Bluray playback requires an app download.
Have to scream at Kinect to make it respond and even then it opens the wrong program.
Have to remember specific Kinect commands.
Kinect sensative to background noise.
Too many steps to publish game videos.

Honestly, that set of negatives is gonna be huge for a lot of folks.....I will have to think long and hard about the $540 price tag.

yes they did....and so far they haven't done much to win me back. I have nothing against the XBOX1 but until Microsoft lowers the price I won't be buying one.

Great graphics, repetitive gameplay. We knew this was coming. Campaign is a measly 6 hours.

The Xbox One has actually been scoring quite well. Not amazing but nor did the Ps4. There's been a lot of negativity & flame wars for this Gen. I just hope it all dies down when both consoles launch & everyone can concentrate on what matters. The Games

We all knew Ryse was a tech demo that you use to show off the new system. Why would anyone be surprised it's short and repetitive? Make sure you get the game cheap from one of the many B1G1 50% deals and show it off.

I agree but I'm not a graphics whore. I play whats fun. Hell I even go back and play NES games. You can shine up a turd all you want. It's still a turd.

I'll wait for this to hit the bargain bin before trying it out. Sorry, but if you're a "gamer" that just plays a game for it's graphics you're really just a poser. While it certainly helps when the game looks awesome, paying $60+ for a tech demo is a waste of time and money and only reinforces that the developers can continue to get away with it.

I know this is the Xbox thread but I'm ready to wipe some dust off my Wii U tomorrow. I just need to find something to trade. I might just get rid of the damn Xbox. I need my Mario fix.
