Reason I had mine in there was because with the 360 it was required to have one on file, not so with the X1.

They ported over my CC automatically when I got the X1.

It works the same with check card but the problem is your the actual money until investigation is complete, with a credit card your out credit.

you can buy a 2 year warranty from microsoft i bought it it cost 69 go to xbox .com under warranty section and theres an option to buy the warranty and register your xbox one
