Its only 3 months old. I bought it on Amazon when they were clearing out their Xmas package Elites for $200 with 2 games.

This blows because I just got MW2 today and just bought both the map packs for it. I played two matches then had to leave...come back to this crap.

Wow that really sucks if it's only 3 months old. That means it's probably a Jasper model. I say see if maybe the problem goes away in a day or 2 and if not, call up M$ for a replacement.

Just started the claim with MS. I'll have to ship it out tomorrow. I guess I got struck with the unlucky crap now. Went a good 2 1/2 years without my launch 360 dying, and another 2 years with my first gen. Elite problem free. Now I go through 2 within a 6 month period.

~~I'll definitely pass on the next MS console for sure. I'm sticking with Sony and Nintendo.

yeah...today i actually tried to buy the new/old maps for MW2 and it rejected my credit card twice. I called my card company and they said everything was ok no blocks/holds or late payments or anything. I call xbox live and wow there basically talking to me like Im an idiot...maybe your card number is wrong, maybe your home address is wrong...Im like really so there trouble shooting and there telling me everything Ive already done they pass me to 3 different operators who basically all tell me to do the same thing.

I kinda laughed and im like look im trying to give you my money and you wont take it. Ive been a LIVE memeber since the beginning and never have had problems doing anything and now its like wow... I finally just said no problem, not a big deal, I dont want the maps anymore. That was after about 20 mins or so. Just thought id share that little funny frustrating story.

I've had the same thing happen a few months back, the next day it worked fine. I think their system was down or something b/c I didn't have any holds, etc. on the card either.

Need some help troubleshooting my 360. It boots up fine and goes straight to the menu, but when I try to play a game or even jump into Netflix it goes to the screen like it normally did except that it hangs there and freezes up. Any ideas on what the problem is or how to fix it?? Should I just call MS and have them send me another f'n machine??

Try clearing your 360's cache. I forget how to do it but I had similar issues and this did the trick. You can find out how to do it if you search online. The downside is you will have to download updates to games you want to play.

Amazon Germany just inadvertently revealed the Arcade Xbox 360 Slim. It's the mysterious $200 we were talking about a few weeks ago.

It does not include a hard drive, but it does have 4gb of internal memory, possibly an internal flash drive? Amazon lists August 20th as the release date.

Damn I was hoping for at least a 60gb hard drive. Or even a 20gb one. Come on, M$soft, memory is cheap to manufacture nowadays.

^^ yeah I don't see the point in giving 4GB of memory. Sure, it's for system updates and what not, but how much more $$ would it cost to double that??

New official Xbox 360 controller due November 9th. Currently, it will only be available bundled with the Charge-and-Play kit ($64.99).

The new controller features a transforming D-Pad. Twist it to raise the D-Pad or to lower it. Should help with fighting games and whatnot. Also: monochromatic buttons.

Nice. About time they worked on updating the controllers. I still think the Xbox S controller from back in the day is the best they have made.

i was having a problem with my xbox this weekend. I turn it on and it goes to the main menu. It shows the game in the tray and then just locked up. turns out i had a wired controller wrapped up too tight and it was jamming the buttons down. Took me hours to figure it out lol.
