thanks Fear666 i'm gonna put my console on the bay, might as well :wave.

If l were you l would list it locally instead, like on Craigslist or something. There are always tech geeks buying up broken systems.:lecture

If you sell it on Ebay the person who gets it would probably file a claim on you saying it doesn't work.:lol:lecture

____ consoles and especially ____ Micro____!! I just built me a Cooler Master gaming PC and I couldn't be happier. I will of course still have to use Windows on my PC but atleast I won't be locked into using there ____ty hardware and overpriced garbage peripherals.

I know PCs are always more powerful and all that but in the end, when the next major game comes out a year from now youll have to go out and buy a new video card or you'll more than likely have to upgrade something. While with a console your set for the next few years with no worries about can I or cant I run this game I want to play.

I just dont like all the fuss of PC gaming, i wont argue that of course you get some great visuals and what not, but I dont like worrying about the hassle, just give me my console so I can game with no questions asked.

Xbox keeps making their dashboard dumb and dumber.:cuckoo:

No offense to kinect user, but thats who there marketing to and I dont mean gamers who happen to have a kinect, im talking about mom or dad or grandma/grandpa casual gamer so its more simple/friendly and easier to navigate when your "touching" the screen and what not. Just my opinion.

So this dashboard is only for the kinect, if you have the kinect camera bar? if l buy a kinect 250GB slim console will it have this dashboard.

I also didn't like how they changed their dashboard on regular 360s a long time ago, were you can only see half your backgrouind picture.

Yeah its for everyone, but what I meant was there really putting alot of focus on the casual gamer who owns a kinect. Which is why everything is all blocked out now and such...easier for kinect users to "touch" the menus and what not. I usually dont have a problem with there dashboard updates and this one actually looks pretty cool, but again focus is on kinect users.

If i'm not mistaken the 250GB slim is not a kinect right, or is it? It doesn't come with any of the kinect stuff, so the touch screen stuff you talk about won't apply to me right, unless l buy the kinect camera bar or what it's called. l still don't know much about these new consoles. Damn l'm mad my Elite crapped out and l just can't buy another one of those models.

Kinect is only the bar that attaches to the Xbox. All Xbox 360's are Kinect ready (and if they weren't xbox emailed those people a rebate to mail their system in and get mailed back one that was ready for it, because none of the new updates would work on their systems).

okay l got yea. when l was searching some of the kinect stuff l read the kinect is killing older xbox made before 2010, their dying right after connecting the kinect bar. Of course Mircrosfot denies that is the reason.:cuckoo:

So this is probably a dumb question but can a used hard drive potentially harm a 360? I've been thinking of getting a used 60gb or 120gb for my 360 but my friend who's 360 RROD'd on him shortly after buying a used HD off Amazon insists the HD is what killed it. I think it was probably just coincidence since his Xbox was a launch console I believe.

It wont harm it. The RROD is something unrelated to the hard drive, so your friend is wrong. The RROD is something to do with the solder on the circuit board inside the console, it has nothing to do with the HDD.

Thanks, thats what I guessed but I figured I'd ask just in case. Could a used HD cause any other type of problems though?

Does anyone know anything about the Star Wars 360bundle on Amazon? I pre-ordered it and now it has a release date of 12/2012! I could have sworn it originally was 12/2011.

It's a mistake. The console has a release date of sometime in early 2012 I believe.
