Yeah, it looks like they gave a couple to the retailers too. Someone a page or two back said they got one.

I must say, as a new company, they are doing everything right. Customer opinion and QC seem like their two biggest focal points. Change out parts and prints and what not to make sure the customer feels like they are getting theirs money's worth. And then the exclusivity aspect, of only a 500 ES and then even a smaller amount of the coins. And then on top of that, they follow up with their word by putting out a good product. On time.

It's very impressive. I wonder if they are planning on keeping everything around a 500ES, or if the more popularity they gain, the more they will do?

Oh make no mistake my friend XM is a business first. If they could sell 5000 caps they would probably do it in a heartbeat. Younger company. Not as much operating capital as the likes of SS. Production is expensive for any company. Plus they needed to prove their products were worth the money. In my opinion they still have yet to prove it. Cap came out phenomenal but they still have several hurdles to overcome with future releases and as their edition sizes grow (Magneto will be a big one)
on a positive note I love everything XM has done thus far. I have no reason to believe they will deliver anything but high end greatness as that's the vibe they have given to collectors and Cap appears to have come out better then we all could have expected. I do hope that QC and CS continue to be a focus for this company. Someone wise once quoted a warren buffet saying to me. Price is what you pay value is what you get. Most people will spend the extra money to be assured they are getting a high end product. We see it in cars, houses, electronics. I mean were a materialistic world.
SS has gotten too big for their britches in some aspects. They are the juggernaut of 1/4 scale collectibles. I love SS dearly but I'm so excited that XM just dropped a captain bomb in their lap. It will force them to rethink their QC and CS standards. I mean it has too. Cap is the first release. If XM keeps doing what they are doing their popularity will undoubtedly grow as well as their market share

I don't see XM doing big ES's anytime soon, they would need to get a license to sell in North America first... And I don't see SS giving up their exclusive license anytime soon.

Well, that license needs to be renewed by Marvel. Marvel holds all the cards when it comes to who gets what license.

Unless XM can somehow get Marvel's approval to remove their limited territory restrictions, they are not really any concern to SSC. Competition is a good thing, but Marvel tends to be pretty exclusive with their licensing. They wouldn't even let PCS do 1/3 Marvel statues as it was "too similar to SSC".

Agreed. This is years ahead most likely. We will have limited es from XM for quite some time. Eventually though they have to grow. Its the simplest concept for any business to be successful long term

@Snad
Didn't know that PCS got the boot on 1/3 marvel. That would have been so awesome

They would have been resin exterior with polystone cores. Jerry said you can get a lot more detail out with resin than just pure polystone so you get the best of both worlds.

Man I am super excited I got my order in especially seeing the level of quality assurance they r going through right now as shown in the other thread

Yeah PCS on the marvel scene would be ridiculous. Jerry and his people are no joke. They know how to make some beautiful statues

Was at XM Studios and almost hijacked this baby!

The extra time and effort to personally touch-up the statues is very much appreciated, I wish this company much success in the future and to keep growing through the hiring of the right staff that have the same passion for the subject material and the hobby.

BEWARE GUYS:
There are couple of people from Singapore offering a "service" on Facebook groups to order this XM cap. They claim that they offer a "discounted" price of SGD $750. However, Simply Toys is selling these at $720 and for these people they are getting an even greater discount! Now, if you are ok with this price then go ahead. But just know that they are not telling you the truth about getting you the best price. And all they do for you is go to XM and swipe their credit cards. The rest is done by XM! Just FYI
