Who the **** cares who produces which statue, the point is getting the statue you like best and want for your collection. Turning it into a fanboy debate when they are all making some beautiful statues is just ridiculous. We have different tastes, and should be praising the competition anyway.

I just want to say I LOVE Bowen Designs and hope that Randy is able to get back to work making more AWESOME Marvel statues ASAP. That's all folks.

Bowen made some AMAZING pieces. His Hulkbuster and action line are so awesome the I have repeatedly been within seconds of buying them. My only hang up is that for the price I could pay $100-$150 more and get a PF. I still may pick them up as there are honestly some of my favorite representations of the character

As for me, I like XM, and I also like SSC. However, I can only say that for me Hawkeye, Wolverine, Magneto and Ant-man are the XM statues that really stick out. For the rest, there's some issues I'm having and other companies making just as good statues of the same character. Then there's also the money aspect. Obviously XM statues needs to be a bit better when it costs double of other statues. So like with Thor or Wolverine, I'm going with SSC because I can't justify paying more than double (with taxes and shipping) for them when I like the SSC ones more or less equally (I like SSC's Thor better, and XM's Wolverine a little better but also love SSC's). I'm getting Hawkeye, though, I find that extremely much better than SSC's, and I'm sniffing on Ant-man, awaiting to see if prices drop and if SSC comes up with one soon.

Just get what you like and let other people get what they like, we don't need to agree on everything..

Great statement here, and I agree. I also have to say that what you were saying about being selective of the statues you purchase is very much where I have to be given the price of an XM statues. I have 4 main NEEDS in my collection, and a few wants. Superman, Batman, Hulk and Spiderman are my NEEDS, and other then the Hulk I have all of the definitive 1/4 pieces of them that I need as of right now. I have several WANTS that I have on my list (Cap, Thor, Flash, Nightwing, Luthor), but to justify paying double an SSC statues price an XM piece has to be one of those NEEDS or WANTS, which basically leaves Spidey, Hulk, Cap, and Thor. As I said before the XM Hulk has been tempting at times, but I can't get by the headsculpt, and while I can make a custom one for it I don't think that is a thing I am interested in trying to tackle. The SSC Hulk on the other hand has grown on me, and I think that is the one I will go for. I have kept my ear to the ground about XMs Spidey, and if I like the design I will be going for it for sure. As for Cap and Thor... well I have a Cap that I like a lot, and while I like Ericks sculpt if I go for a Thor I would go for the Modern SSC Thor as I like that look better. Does that mean that XM will never make a statue on my list that I will jump at? Heck no... they just haven't done so yet.

I didn't really think it was a fan boy debate either. I think it was more of a Bowen mastered the comic based designs and ss basically came up with a favored 1/4 scale and now XM doing a pure comic design doesn't really give them a lot of room to blow our mind but when they step away from the heavily demanded comic accurate designs that is when they produce mind blowing work that commands the high cost. Nevertheless their comic designs are still great but make some us hesitate to drop the large premiums for designs that Bowen and SS have already done pretty well.

Thats how I felt, I enjoyed the chat but I guess this topic has been beat into the ground to an extent. I thought this was a nice exchange versus the attacking back and forth that you see. We can stop talking about statues and the companies that produce them and let the thread continue about 16 bit gaming consoles.
