As it stands, yes I'm in for SSC's 42 and yes I do own the IS 42 as well. How about you?

yes i also have the IS..i plan to get all the 1/4 m42 and display them together..i was late to the party and the price of the m6 ssc is too high..

XM posted on their Facebook page that they are correcting the color on the elbows to gold for the production pieces. I love that these guys really listen fan feedback and are so willing to make adjustments and changes.

I'm not sure about that face, it has about 85% likeness factor to Robert Downy Jr. but IMO it needs to be in the 90% range... If XM has a weakness it's their face sculpts.

i agree, that's what's great with xm studios..it is a collaborative effort along with customers..though ssc has its edge of legacy sculpts but w/ qc issues..i think xm & is have great sculpts too that can go hand in hand w/ legacy..
That's a very rough paint job, can see the brush strokes and the harsh at seams.

Seeing that face sculpt and paint, then adding the fact that it costs a lot more. SSC has the commanding lead on the mk42 currently.
Now that could change, but I'm just calling it like I see it.
To be fair SSC didn't have the stones to post a close up photo of their Antonio Stark portrait.

A close-up of the prototype portrait wouldn't really matter, anyways.

I will agree wholeheartedly. And they should...its Legacy effects doing the sculpt directly. I also like the pose and the fact it has lightup features.
However, this is not to take anything away from the XM Mk42 statue. It actually looks really nice in its own right. With a corrected elbow color change, it should be fine. But I already pre-ordered the SS MK42 and IP...so the only one I could possibly get from XM is the MK7. I think those two are going to be on par with one another. XM's will have the ability to put him in different poses, while the SS one will be in a great pose with a more affordable price (tentatively going off the prices of the other two). So we will see.

Well the picture they showed of Tony Stark was definitely lacking compared to the portrait on XM's one....at least from what I have seen so far. The XM one does offer more pose options and three different heads. Like I said, it is a commendable statue of MK42 in its own right.
