Here's a couple more pics of the RDJ portrait from itakon.it. Also, check out how great the arc reactor looks in that second pic.

Okaay this does look so much better than before. The arc isn't screen accurate, but given the fact that the reactor in the movie looks like a blank piece of plastic, I would think XM should leave it exactly like it is.

Agreed, the triangular reactor is way better than a blank circle.

Next XM needs to give it a light up function with the ability to easily change bulbs/batteries

they upped this entire piece. I was on on record as saying that SSCs had taken this one, but the new portrait and paint just makes this POP so much more

Yep... However, if I was going to go for one it would be the Mark VII.

Somehow, I think that this Mark 42 has better proportions than the Mark 7, which looks a little on the skinny side.

See I was thinking the exact opposite. That the side by side pics weren't doing a good job at selling the price difference between an SSC Iron Manpiece and the XM Mark 42. Now the Mark VII will probably be a whole other story, but with the SSC IronMan carpet bombing that is coming those pics aren't really selling it. Maybe if there were more closeups of the difference in the level of details.

Honestly they both look great. I wouldn't mind having either/or/both. The lighting seems to be kind of yellowing everything out though. Great pics though I can't wait for mine!
