Not sure what spec is thinking. With that said the most underhanded thing ever done to me was by BBTS. I preordered the original suit Hot Toys Batman from them. Waited several months, then they sent me an email that they didn't get enough. Hence, they cancelled my preorder. At that point, the eBay prices were too high for me to pick him up. One month later, BBTS had some in stock for double the price. Complete jerk move. They have been good to me otherwise, but I don't trust them anymore.

yeah that blows. Could have been they received a return or someone sold them one after the release, but it's crumby not to offer it back to someone whose preorder they cancelled.

ladies and gents i want to apologize…i contacted spec fiction initially just randomly and the guy replied…i told him about our board and how a bunch of us were interested…i asked him for a discount, since it would be a bunch of us ordering..he told me 15% off…anything I posted was directly related to me from him…as people had purchased from them before and their name had buzzed around, I trusted. I haven't had a reply back since I think Friday or whenever the quick sell happened, and I am sorry that I put that out there like that and it wound up being bs (clearly by the 3 grand outrageous price)…I wouldn't normally air this type of stuff out but felt compelled due to the way everything went down...

specfiction can do whatever he wants. But either he sold and people bought at $3k, which hey, good for him that people did, but he will cause many people who had been checking his site out to never go there again, which is as much their right as selling at a high price is his, or he put $3k in there after his preorder sold out at 900-1000, which would be even more perplexing and puzzling... would essentially just be warning everything "if I do get more of these, they're gonna be crazy expensive." That would be pointless to jump the gun on. Can't be that.

I wouldn't bet against that. Sosa has already said that his favorite XM sculpt is Batman

Batman would be the only DC character I would consider (some batman villains... maybe... an XM clayface could be the coolest thing I've ever not seen). But I am very happy with my batman PF, so it would have to just blow that out of the water for me to replace it.

He said he'd update us on what he would be doing with the preorder but he never did. In fairness, he did get caught off guard about the launch and I think he was left scrambling. None of the US retailers had many. I'd guess there were less than 30 between the 3.
