for Psylocke the only version I would want is a Jim Lee ninja outfit version. For the love of god a 1/4 scale jim lee portrait statue needs to be done correctly. Erick's danger room sessions one was nigh perfect just in the wrong scale.

I have no idea what the development timeline was for the XM Magneto, so I don't mean to imply that XM was learning a lesson from SSC. But it is interesting the way that XM put a seated Magneto in a "throne" i.e. similar to the choice SSC made back with their first Doom PF - seated in a throne rather than standing like nearly all PFs - which was and remains a brilliant success.

Having a statue sitting on a throne is nothing new....

I agree, it's the idea that Magneto would take a sentinel hand and create a throne for himself out of it... plus the details on this statue are off the chart... Something Doom PF lacks due to being covered in fabric.. IMO.. A fully sculpted version of Doom on his throne would of been killer...

Definitely agree with this! A fully sculpted Doom would've been killer! The fabric makes Doom look frumpy, IMO.

I always thought the details in the throne were what made SSs doom PF so amazing. The mixed media aspect wasn't my highlight for the statue. Would be interesting to see how Doom's cloak would look sculpted

Its all about presence. The fact that a company can do that with a seated figure - as opposed to a standing statue that towers - makes the SSC Doom and the XM Magneto achievements all the more impressive. In both cases, the way that the character combined with the throne radiates command, power and menace is what makes them special.

This^^ Whoever thought up that idea of the Sentinel hand as the throne was brilliant! It took this statue to the creative stratosphere and sets it head over heels to any other seated statue imo.

I don't understand why peeps don't like the fabric on Doom because in reality his cloak would be made out of cloth which makes the statue even more realistic IMO

But each to there own but saying that I wasn't a fan of fully sculpted not long ago but since XM came along there definitely made me a fan now.

And yes I would buy a fully sculpted XM Doom but I do think the PF is great when his cloak is properly fussed

For me, a statue is to be admired for the artist sculpting abilities, putting cloth over a statue hides all that and makes the statue more of a doll hybrid... Some like the doll look and some don't, I'm defiantly in the do not like clothing on statues camp

I'm kinda going 50/50 now. I used to be mixed-media or pass but now since getting into XM there completely changed my opinion.

It's basically down to how well the Statue is executed now.

Agreed, I don't like fabric on my statues at all. At first I was ok with it but not anymore, Deadpool PF is the most I would want on a statue. Even my Batman PF will most likely get this conversion, black instead of blue and keep the original bat symbol.

But fabric will drape/fold/fall differently when scaled down, due to the difference in length/weight. Further, some 'feel' would also not be attainable using fabric. Look at the cloaks on Storm PF and Batman PF to compare and you should know what I mean

And while we are on the Batman, notice that the cape is sculpted, and not MM even though it should make "the statue more realistic"?

I hope this is not taken as attack / bashing of any persons/company. Just calling out the differences and limitations as I see it. Cheers
