I broke my first buck today whilst swapping heads between Yavin Luke and ANH Luke.

It doesn't look like any part was actually broken but the neck post cam apart from the screw post thingee...

Anyone got any suggestions on how to fix this?

A little bit of tape and a lot of patience.

:monkey2 I wondered what was taking so long for those ANH in ceremony dress pictures to be posted.

Probably the hardest thing to repair on the Buck - I'd try to get another body. The truetype will be too tall for Luke though. Get a Real Guy.

I have broken 3 or 4 buck bodies. One of which was a big boy body, which really sucked.

You can fix the neck... but it is a pain in the ass. I had to do it when I was making my Dr Frankenstein custom.

You basically need to completely take apart the neck adapter (breaks into two halves) and start over. I spent a long time f'n with it, but eventuall it was back to normal. And if you distressed the bottom of the neck adapter (bent outwards) you may need to cut away the offending plastic or your neck articulation will be completely shot.

Sadly I don't have any pictures as I've only done the procedure one time. But feel to PM me and I can try and walk you through it.

Yep, Joe is right... It's a painful process, usually stumbled upon by doing exactly what you did. I've had to do this at least 3 times already. :banghead

Eh, broken necks can happen with any figure... but the extra hard resin (or whatever the heads are made of) can make breaking a buck more likely. The one I broke was after a very long soaking in boiling water... which I moved to after the hairdryer didn't work.
