It's my fault, but I'll blame you! :cuckoo:
I recently purchased a set of comic books from a user named drnoles7842. I changed my address the day I paid for the items, but I guess i should have done it earlier because it did not change by the time the seller got the information. Well naturally I am thinking I can just have the it redirected, but it hasn't even came to Canada yet and its been a month. I explained to the user my predicament and he said he had insurance for this sort of thing and when he said that he called the post office to track it they said it was being shipped back and it couldn't be tracked, but when I tracked it it was still hasn't left for Canada. He has refused to give me my money back and he thinks that I will buy another. He wants me to give him more money for something I already bought and didn't receive when he has insurance to cover it don't buy from him ever.

That F'N sucks dude. The seller always gets the ____ end of the stick, even when the buyer is a crooked piece of trash.

Yup, a very expensive lesson to learn. I don't mind taking a loss on profits not selling internationally anymore because there's peace of mind with the risk being exponentially reduced selling only to the US.

I prefer to just ship within Australia myself, and for the same reasoning. But there are plenty of scammers everywhere. Why does not shipping OS reduce the likelihood of being ripped off? Or is the likelihood the same, but the follow-up in a dispute made less of a hassle? Dunno.

For starters, insurance ends at the borders with USPS. At that point it's to their discretion whether or not they want to honor it. Also, most transactions end well within the PayPal deadlines. And as you guessed, the dispute process is less of a headache since the tracking info is constantly updated instead of left hanging. But overall, while I've dealt with a handfull of homegrown *********s, I dealt with more outside when selling internationally. Please don't take that as I'm calling everybody internationally crooked, just based on my experiences, keeping things national is best and easiest.

true, my friends tell me selling to Italy is a complete nightmare, that that post there is ridiculous and they lose everything,

buying or selling international is always a headache,

You've got a pretty big customer base over your way, so you'd still do pretty well out of your sales I'd guess. I've let a few figures go at bargain-basement prices in this collecting backwater 'cause I've wanted to avoid OS hassle. Also, OS buyers aren't too happy about paying a premium for shipping something from the arse end of the world. But however much I'm losing out on a sale here and there, if I can avoid being ripped off it's worth it. Being ripped off sucks.

How can the bankruptcy stay protect property that doesn't belong to them? Someone in CO is either stupid or not doing their research.

The bottom line is, who sold it to them for $5,000? That is, if that actually happened. There's gotta be paperwork somewhere.
