Oh ya, I was very impressed at how well the picture and sound on this old 1984 low budget horror movie was. I was pleased.
It's a very active 7.1 mix too. Makes it that much creepier.
Really clean clarity with all the synthesizer score and sound effects.

Just in case anyone wants to pick it up, Apollo 13 blu-ray at Best Buy has a slip case and a free ticket to Robin Hood for $20.

basically what im trying to do is upgrade all my DVD's to bluray, or at least what is on bluray so far. i watched the first matrix and man does it look amazing in HD. im impressed.'



also, has anyone heard anything about indiana jones on bluray?

I'm doing the same thing with my DVD's except fo the meh movies i got. No point upgrading them if i didnt like it on DVD :D

No word on Indy yet but it might be next year along with Star Wars.
 
Trying to decide if I really want to buy Avatar for Blu Ray or not. I have a tendency to buy movies and never watch them, so I sold off the ones I'd never watch again and am now being *super* selective. :lol

I'm tempted to buy this release instead of the special edition because I stopped watching special features on movies once I passed 400 DVDs years ago.
