Ouch, baby. Very ouch
Aww, you know I luvz you brother!

I'm tempted to buy this release instead of the special edition because I stopped watching special features on movies once I passed 400 DVDs years ago.
I don't really watch the features either, I'm getting this release.

So was the animated Alice In Wonderland not released on BluRay? I can only seem to find listings for it on DVD.

I am waiting, the special features are more exciting to me than the film itself; even though the 3D filming/etc has been covered pretty thoroughly in the media, I am sure there will be more to learn.

I mentioned a week or so ago that I picked up the Thing ($10 someplace...Best Buy?) and I got a chance to check it out this weekend. Amazingly sharp, clear picture, and terrific immersive sound. Very impressed with how good they did with a movie this old - recommend it!

There's a $10 discount code at Amazon if you order Alice In Wonderland along with another Disney movie.

Yes, but then you'd have to own that turd of a movie... I think I'll just spend the extra $10 :lol

They only released this on DVD. Thanks for nothing, Disney.

Interesting, I was just thinking how I was bummed I didn't buy a few of the films I have on DVD on BluRay instead; and now it looks like none of them were released on BluRay (Robin Hood, Jungle Book, Sword in the Stone, etc.).

Wonder why... is there not enough difference between how it would look to warrant the release? Or just not popular enough?

It's Disney. I think they release a movie and then put it back in the vault for about 5 years and then re-release them. Every Feb.-Mar. and Oct. they release a classic. Next one is Beauty And The Beast and next year i think it's Fantasia (it was supposed to come out this year but got bumped).

The first title to be released will be the October 6th Blu-ray release of 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs', after which two titles will be released each year from the collection. For 2010, 'Beauty and the Beast' and 'Fantasia and Fantasia 2000' have been scheduled for Blu-ray release. The remainder of the titles - 'The Lion King', 'Bambi', 'Cinderella', 'Lady and the Tramp', 'The Little Mermaid', 'Peter Pan', 'The Jungle Book', and '101 Dalmatians' - will be released sometime in 2011-2015, completed by re-releases of 'Sleeping Beauty' and 'Pinocchio' as part of the Diamond Collection.

Sleeping Beauty was put back in the vault Jan. 30 so they've stop production of it so whatever's out there is all that's left. They'll re-release it again in 2015.

Guilty pleasure of youth. They need to release the seasons with Frakes as the host too.

Now off to enjoy the cheap acting and funny Western Canadian accents.
